This Gift in a Jar is so quick and simple to put together, and your friends and family will LOVE the delicious cookies that it makes!

Spring Burst Cookie Mix in a Jar

Spring Burst Cake Mix Cookies

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 box Betty Crocker White SuperMoist Cake Mix {16.25 oz.}
  • 1 bag Nestle Toll House Springtime Morsels {1o oz.}
  • one quart size Wide Mouth Mason Jar
  • Ribbon
  • Optional: Doilie or Paper Flower Embellishments

Instructions:

  • Carefully empty the contents of the cake mix package into your quart-sized wide mouth Mason Jar, and gently pat down the top.
  • Sort Nestle Morsels by color in 3 separate dishes.  {we’ll only be using the pink and yellow ones, so the brown are officially for snacking on now!}
  • Then layer the pink, then the yellow morsels in the jar.
  • Put the silver jar topper on top, place a round scrap of scrapbook paper on top, or a Doilie or piece of fabric, then screw on the jar’s lid.
  • Tie a little bow and add some paper flower embellishments if you’d like!
  • Optional: You could use Sticker Letters or even print the words ‘Cookie Mix’ like I did here

Attach a Label with Baking Instructions:

  • Attach a label {or you can add the instructions to the top of the jar’s lid} with the following baking instructions.
  • Beat together 2 Egg Whites and 1/2 cup Vegetable or Canola Oil in medium bowl.
  • Pour in entire contents of jar, and stir well with spoon.
  • Chill dough for 1 hour in the refrigerator prior to baking.
  • Then, drop onto ungreased non-stick cookie sheet in rounded balls.
  • Bake for approx. 8 – 9 minutes {or until done} at 350 degrees.
