It takes just 5 simple ingredients to make the BEST Snickerdoodles with Cake Mix!

  • Yellow Cake Mix
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar
  • Butter – Vegetable Oil or Canola Oil can be substituted.
  • Eggs

How To Make Snickerdoodle Cake Mix Cookies

Treat yourself to some very satisfying snickerdoodle cookies when you follow these simple step-by-step instructions:

Here’s what you’ll do…

1. Start by combining your cake mix, egg and butter.

2. Then chill the dough.

4. Next, you’ll line your baking sheets with parchment paper.

5. Once your dough has chilled, roll your cookie dough balls in cinnamon & sugar.

6. Place the cookie dough balls on cookie sheets, then lightly flatten each dough ball using the bottom of a glass.

7. Bake your cookies in the oven.

8. Once done, allow the cookies to cool a bit on the cookie sheets, then move them to wire racks to finish cooling.

Snickerdoodle Cake Mix Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 13.25 ounces Betty Crocker Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1/3 cup Melted Butter (Vegetable or Canola Oil can be substituted)
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 3 1/2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar (White Sugar)
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon

Instructions

  • Combine Cake Mix, Melted Butter (or oil), and Eggs in large mixing bowl, and mix with hand mixer or stand mixer until well combined.
  • Cover dough and chill in refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • After dough has chilled, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Line large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In small bowl, whisk together Sugar and Cinnamon.
  • Roll cookie dough into 1 1/2 tablespoon sized rounded balls, then roll each ball around in Cinnamon-Sugar mixture until well coated.
  • Place dough balls on cookie sheet, then flatten dough by pressing down slightly on top of each dough ball using the bottom of a glass.
  • Bake on center oven rack for 7 - 13 minutes, or until done. (Note: Bake on the shorter end of the time range for non-stick cookie sheets & longer end of the time range for aluminum cookie sheets)
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool on cookie sheets for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer cookies to wire racks to finish cooling, and ENJOY!
  • You can even stack some of them up in a wide-mouth jar, and give as a fun
    Gift in a Jar!

Notes

When it comes to Cake Mix Cookies, salted or unsalted butter can be used, as the cake mix will have a little salt in it.  However, I've found that salted butter will result in superior flavor.

      So glad I found this. I had done this Demo many years ago and absolutely loved it. I created many different varieties of cookies for the holidays as gifts. Since these were so simple and made so many it was the perfect gift and it became a tradition. My family loved all the different varieties and how simple it was. The kids even enjoyed helping. Ever since I moved I have lost things and my recipe box is one of the most important things. So thank you again for sharing these recipes.

      Yes I have made these several times. ….always a favorite. This is how I am doing all of my cookies this year. Just made peanut butter & added a small pb chocolate chip to the top. Am making fun fetti next. As an amputee quick ^ easy works the best as it means shorter time in my w/c.

      Hello! Good cookie, I used butter flavored Crisco, which I melted instead of the oil. I also tossed in a table of white vanilla. I will make these again, and I am strictly a scratch cook.
