Ingredients

  • 16.25 oz. Betty Crocker White Cake Mix {1 box}
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • ½ cup Melted Butter, or Canola Oil, or Vegetable Oil
  • 1Âź cups Dried Cranberries
  • 1Âź cups White Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Combine cake mix, eggs, and oil in large mixing bowl, and beat well.
  • Stir in Cranberries and White Chocolate Chips, and stir well with a spoon.
  • Chill dough in refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • Drop onto ungreased non-stick Cookie Sheet in rounded balls.
  • Bake for approx. 8 – 10 minutes at 350 degrees, or until done. ENJOY!

Notes

If giving this as a Gift in a Jar, carefully pour the contents of the cake mix package into a quart-sized wide mouth Mason Jar, and gently pat down the top.
Pour in the Cranberries, then the White Chocolate Chips.
Put the silver jar topper on top, place a round scrap of scrapbook paper {or brown paper bag cut into a circle} on top, then screw on the jar’s lid. {or you could use a doilie like I did here}
Wrap ribbon or twine around the silver lid.
Optional: Use your Silhouette or Letter Stickers to add the words ‘Cookie Mix’. I even added some fun Snowflake Stickers to the outside of the jar.
Attach a Label with Baking Instructions:
Attach a label {or you can add the instructions to the top of the jar’s lid} with the following baking instructions.
Beat together 2 eggs and ½ cup Vegetable or Canola Oil in medium bowl.
Pour in entire contents of jar, and stir well with spoon.
Chill dough for 1 hour in the refrigerator prior to baking.
Then, drop onto ungreased non-stick cookie sheet in rounded balls.
Bake for approx. 8 – 10 minutes {or until done} at 350 degrees.

    I’ve made this recipe before but this time I used mini chocolate chips because I did not have any white chocolate chips on hand. The chocolate compliments the craisins.

    Oh,my. I made these at Christmastime. I used Duncan Hines Supreme orange cake mix instead of white. They were pretty and delicious. I brought a plate to work and I had a couple of clients call me later to get the recipe. I think they would also be good with some pecans Saturday and if you like nuts. I’m trying to figure out if there’s someway to make these without using eggs for someone I know who does not eat eggs. I don’t know if it would be as good.

      That sounds delicious, Jamie… I bet the orange added such a fun flavor! And yes… mixing in some chopped pecans is delicious, too – I’ve tried that and loved it! I’ve never tried making them without eggs, but if you do find a substitute, let me know how they turn out!

    Hi! I love this recipe but I want to try adding orange to it. I’m just not sure if I should use extract or zest or both… do you know? Thanks!

      Hi Katie ~ I honestly haven’t tried adding either to this particular recipe, but I’m sure either would work great. If you give it a try, let me know how it turns out! 🙂

    I’m don’t bake very often, so please forgive the ignorance of my question. I know the recipe calls for white chocolate chips, but would Hershey’s Hugs all chopped up work? I know those are white chocolate (as opposed to white baking chips) and are safe for my son, who is anaphylactic to peanuts and tree nuts.
