As the saying goes… never put all of your eggs in one basket, unless they’re chocolate eggs, and it’s my basket! Now that’s some good advice! And in addition to chocolate eggs, Easter M&M’s are essential, too.
And that’s what brings us to this easy Chocolate Easter Cookies Recipe!
These extra soft cake mix cookies are what dreams are made of, and will disappear as fast as you can make them. Seriously, they’re SO good even the Easter Bunny will be jealous!

Easter M&M Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
- 15.25 ounces Betty Crocker Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix {1 box}
- 2 Large Eggs
- ½ cup Melted Butter, or Canola Oil, or Vegetable Oil
- 9 ounces Bunny Mix M&M’s {use ¾ of 12.6 ounce bag}
Instructions
- Combine cake mix, eggs, and oil in large mixing bowl, and beat well.
- Stir in 3/4 of the bag of M&M’s {the rest are for you to snack on while you bake, or to use to press onto the top of the cookie dough balls just prior to baking... to keep those cookies looking pretty when they come out!}
- Chill dough in refrigerator for 1 hour.
- Drop onto ungreased non-stick cookie sheet in rounded balls.
- Bake for approx. 7 – 9 minutes {or until done} at 350 degrees.
- Cool on cooling racks, and ENJOY!!
