It’s actually SO easy to make these chocolate Easter M&M cookies! Here’s what you’ll do…
1. Start by mixing together the Cake Mix, Butter & Eggs until well combined.

2. Then stir in the M&M’s with a large spoon.
3. Chill your dough in the refrigerator.
5. When the cookie dough has finished chilling, roll your cookie dough into balls, and place them on the parchment paper lined baking sheets.
6. Bake your cookies in the oven per the instructions on the below recipe card.
7. Once done baking, allow the cookies to cool before serving.

How to Make Easter Cookie Mix in a Jar
You can even make up some extra cookie mix to give as sweet little Gifts in a Jar.
Gifts with the sweet added touch of Easter M&M’s are always a safe bet! Just follow these simple step-by-step instructions…
1. Carefully empty entire contents of cake mix package into a Quart sized Wide Mouth Mason Jar.
2. Gently pack down.
3. Sort M&M’s by color, then add to jar… one color at a time.

4. Using your jar’s lid topper, trace a circle on your scrapbook paper, then cut out.
5. Put the silver jar topper on top, place your circle cut from scrapbook paper on top, then screw on the jar’s lid.
6. Wrap some twine around the silver lid, and affix with glue dots.
7. Then wrap a pretty Easter ribbon around the center of the jar, and tie in a bow, or affix with glue dots.
8. Optional: Use a mini paper clip to attach a sweet little Easter saying tag.

Easter Cookie Mix Baking Instructions
Attach a label (or add the instructions to the top of the jar’s lid) with the following baking instructions:
1. Whisk together 2 Eggs + 1/3 cup Melted Butter in large bowl.
2. Pour in entire contents of jar, and stir well with spoon.
3. Chill dough in refrigerator for 2 hours.
4. Form cookie dough balls & bake on parchment lined cookie sheets.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 – 13 minutes, or until done.

Easter M&M Cookies

Ingredients
- 13.25 ounces Betty Crocker Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix, (if using a 15.25 oz. box, increase butter to 1/2 cup)
- 1/3 cup Melted Butter, (Vegetable or Canola Oil can be substituted)
- 2 large Eggs
- 10 ounces Easter M&M’s, (about 1 1/4 cups)
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients.

- Combine Cake Mix, Melted Butter (or oil), and Eggs in large mixing bowl, and mix with hand mixer or stand mixer until well combined.

- Stir in Easter M&M’s to cookie dough with large wooden spoon or spatula.

- Cover dough and chill in refrigerator for 2 hours.
- After dough has chilled, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line large baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Roll cookie dough into 1 1/2 tablespoon sized rounded balls and transfer to cookie sheet.
- Bake on center oven rack for 7 – 13 minutes, or until done. (Note: Bake on the shorter end of the time range for non-stick cookie sheets & longer end of the time range for aluminum cookie sheets.)
- Remove from oven and allow to cool on cookie sheets for 5 minutes.
- Transfer cookies to wire racks to finish cooling, and ENJOY!

Notes
- Butter: When it comes to Cake Mix Cookies, salted or unsalted butter can be used, as the cake mix will have a little salt in it. However, I’ve found that salted butter will result in superior flavor.

I only have Devil’s food in my stockpile at the moment will this recipe still work with that type of cake mix?
I made these today with my 2 year old. They were super easy and really good. They taste like brownie cookies. I bet any kind of cake mix would work!
