Love this recipe! I have made it three times and this last time I used the mixer for longer and it ended up being this fluffy frosting-like consistency. It definitely made a difference. I added Pink Sugar oil to this and it smells amazing.
Annette says
Hi How long does the product keep for in storage? Does it have to be kept in the fridge?
Heidi says
Hi Annette ~ I usually like to use it within a few months of making it. It does not need to be stored in the refrigerator. Hope that helps!
Maggie says
Could I put it in the freezer to speed up the process?
Heidi says
Hi Maggie ~ Unfortunately no… I don’t recommend freezing this.
Carissa says
Hi! Is there a different oil that would work just as well as almond oil? My kiddo is allergic to almonds, but this looks so lovely!
Valerie says
I was thinking of substituting alvacado oil for the Almond… Thoughts?
Heidi says
Hi Valerie ~ I honestly haven’t ever tried making it that way, but if you do… let us know how it turns out!
Dee Jakubowski says
I would love to make this for the ladies at the shelter. However, My daughter is allergic to coconut, is there another oil I could use for those with the same allergy?
Brenda says
Wow, that sounds like something I could make. Do you use the same bowl in the microwave and mixer that you would use for cooking, or do you have separate supplies for making the body butter?
Heidi says
Brenda ~ I just use one of my regular mixing bowls… then wash out well with hot soapy water when I’m done to remove any residue. 😉
