#1: Add Items To Your Amazon Shopping Cart… then WAIT for the Price to Drop!
This is one of my favorite Amazon money saving tips that I do ALL the time! Seriously… you really need to try this clever tip for saving money on items you plan to buy. It makes it so easy to avoid overpaying and to get the very best prices on items you’ve had your eye on!
Amazon is always adjusting the prices on their products, sometimes substantially. Simply add items you plan to buy to your shopping cart… then wait for the price to go down.
Each time you go to your Amazon account and view your shopping cart, Amazon will notify you if the price has gone up or down. Simply wait until the price has gone down to make your purchase. I do this all the time and it’s become one of my favorite ways to save money and to score Amazon Deals when shopping on Amazon!
For example, I had my eye on these gorgeous high quality stainless steel pots and pans, but they were listed at around $90. There was no way I was going to pay $90 for these, but I also knew they were great quality and would last a long time. So I added them to my cart and just waited. Then every morning when I woke up, I just clicked on my ‘Cart’ on Amazon.com, to see if the prices had changed. One morning, I noticed they had dropped from $90 to $48! So I snatched them right up and practically got two for the price of one! Cha-ching! It takes patience, but this method can sure pay off! It’s my favorite way to reduce my Amazon spending.
#2: Save BIG With Exclusive Amazon Coupons
When shopping for Amazon Deals, make sure to also keep an eye out for items with Amazon Coupons. Simply click the coupon, then add the item to your cart. The Amazon Coupon discount will then be applied at checkout.
#3: Slow Down & Skip Amazon 1-Click Ordering!
One of the easiest ways to save money on Amazon is to skip the Amazon One-Click Ordering. This will force you to slow yourself down and consider each purchase more carefully.
#4: Don’t Forget to Cancel Amazon Subscribe & Save Subscriptions!
It’s always pays to price shop each time before you make a purchase. This will help you avoid paying more than you need to.
So don’t forget to cancel those Subscribe & Save Subscriptions. Yes, these can save you money on your first purchase. However, prices can change over time. Plus, your need for that item may also change. Why buy something on repeat you may not even need right now?
#5: Get Amazon Prime FREE for 30 Days!
Do you want to enjoy the benefits of Amazon Prime for Free? Sign Up for a Free Amazon Prime 30-Day Trial and take advantage of these freebies…

#6: Add A Gift Card To Your Order To Get Amazon FREE Shipping without Prime!
If you’re not an Amazon Prime Member, you will need to spend at least $25 to get free shipping. So what can you do if your order doesn’t add up to $25 and you still want free shipping?
You can actually still qualify for free shipping if your order doesn’t add up to $25 or more. You can do this by adding a physical gift card to your order. Just make sure the gift card is something other than an Amazon Gift Card. Also, try to find a gift card that is for a store or restaurant you regularly visit.
#7: Buy Amazon Gift Cards With Reward Points!
Have you been wondering, can I buy Amazon Gift Cards with Reward Points?
The answer is YES you can. In fact, you’ll be surprised at how many different types of reward points from credit cards and travel accounts can be cashed out for Free Amazon Gift Cards!
It really pays to see if you can convert your reward points to Amazon Gift Cards. So check your different rewards accounts to determine if you have unused points just sitting around. For example, you can cash out your Hilton Honors Points for Amazon Gift Cards and shop for free on Amazon when you link accounts!
I don’t know about you, but I never seem to save enough Hilton Honors Points to earn a free hotel night.
So instead of letting those points just sit there doing nothing, you can use Hilton Honors Points on Amazon to buy stuff for FREE! You’ll just need to link Hilton Honors to Amazon.
I recently cashed in my Hilton points for $54.59 in Amazon Gift Card credit, score!!
#8: Sell Back Your Used Stuff for Even More FREE Amazon Gift Cards!
The Amazon Trade In Program is like holding a virtual garage sale, but without all the work of doing your own garage sale. You can sell old things like…

Love these Amazon tips, especially that first one — impulsive usually adds to cart and checks out, but that’s a great idea to wait for the price to drop!

Thanks, Michelle! I’ve definitely had to retrain myself on that one, but I’ve scored some amazing deals just by waiting. 🙂

Great ways to save on Amazon! Had no idea that they had a buy back program will have to look into that. Amazon has really saved the day on many occasions, especially when you are stuck at home or have to drive to a very far location to get an item. It’s just cheaper and less hassle to have it ordered on amazon.
