Spread some love when you pass out this Valentines Day M&M Cookie Mix in a Jar!  It’s so easy to make and is the perfect homemade gift to share with your family, coworkers or even your boyfriend!

Valentines Day MM Cake Mix Cookies

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 box Betty Crocker Milk Chocolate Cake Mix {15.25 oz}
  • 1 bag Valentine’s Day M&M’s {12.6 oz.} ~ you’ll use 3/4 of the bag
  • one quart size Wide Mouth Mason Jar
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Valentine’s Day Ribbon
  • Optional: Sticker Letters

Instructions:

  • Carefully empty the contents of the cake mix package into your quart-sized wide mouth Mason Jar, and gently pat down the top.
  • Pour in 3/4 of the bag of Valentine’s Day M&M’s.
  • Put the silver jar topper on top, place a round scrap of scrapbook paper on top, then screw on the jar’s lid. {or you could use a doilie like I did here}
  • Tie a little bow using Valentine’s Day Ribbon around the middle of the jar.
  • Optional: You could use Sticker Letters or even print the words ‘Cookie Mix’ like I did here.

Attach a Label with Baking Instructions:

  • Attach a label {or you can add the instructions to the top of the jar’s lid} with the following baking instructions.
  • Beat together 2 eggs and 1/2 cup Vegetable or Canola Oil in medium bowl.
  • Pour in entire contents of jar, and stir well with spoon.
  • Chill dough for 45 minutes in the refrigerator prior to baking.
  • Then, drop onto ungreased non-stick cookie sheet in rounded balls.
  • Bake for approx. 8 – 9 minutes {or until done} at 350 degrees.

    Hello! I just wanted to get your opinion if you thought this craft could be done with kids. It looks like a fairly easy craft so I was thinking for school age kids maybe ages 5-10?
