Here’s what you’ll need…
- All Purpose Flour
- Cornmeal
- Sugar
- Baking Powder
- Salt
- Eggs
- Milk
- Butter

Easy Skillet Cornbread Recipe
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups All Purpose Flour
- 5 tbsp. Cornmeal
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 tbsp. Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 Eggs lightly beaten with whisk
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 8 tbsp. Butter melted (1/2 cup)
- 1 tbsp. Butter not melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- In large mixing bowl, whisk together Flour, Cornmeal, Sugar, Baking Powder, and Salt until well combined.
- Add in Eggs, Milk, and 8 tbsp. melted Butter, and stir with a wooden spoon until well combined.
- On stove top over medium heat, melt 1 tbsp. Butter in 12″ Cast Iron Skillet.
- Once butter has melted, pour batter into skillet, spread out evenly, and transfer to middle rack of oven.
- Bake 18 – 20 minutes, or until done. (when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean)
- Serve with Homemade Cinnamon Honey Butter to send it over the top! ENJOY!
- PREP AHEAD PANTRY TIP: If stocking your pantry with cornbread mix, simply whisk together Flour, Cornmeal, Sugar, Baking Powder, and Salt and transfer to a 32 oz. mason jar so your mix is ready to go for later.
- GIFT IN A JAR TIP: If giving the cornbread mix as a gift, whisk together Flour, Cornmeal, Sugar, Baking Powder, and Salt and transfer to a 32 oz. mason jar. Include a tag with the following baking instructions: Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Transfer contents of jar into large mixing bowl, and add in 2 lightly beaten Eggs, 1/2 cup Milk, and 8 tbsp. melted Butter. Stir until well combined. On stove top over medium heat, melt 1 tbsp. Butter in 12″ Cast Iron Skillet. Once butter has melted, pour batter into skillet, spread out evenly, and transfer to middle rack of oven. Bake 18 – 20 minutes, or until done. (when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean) ENJOY!
