This Andes Mint Cookie Mix in a Jar makes a fabulous Gift in a Jar!

Not only is it oh-so-easy to assemble… it makes the most delicious and moist Andes Mint Dark Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies!

Andes Mint Cookie Mix in a Jar

Andes Mint Cookies Recipe with Cake Mix

What You’ll Need To Make this Andes Mint Cookie Mix in a Jar:

  • 1 box Betty Crocker Super Moist Dark Chocolate Cake Mix {15.25 oz.}
  • 1 bag Andes Mint Baking Chips {10 oz.}… or chop your own like in the Andes Mint Brownies Recipe!
  • One quart size Wide Mouth Mason Jar
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Ribbon

Instructions:

  • Carefully empty entire contents of the cake mix package into your quart-sized wide mouth Mason Jar.
  • Gently pack down.
  • Then pour in Andes Mint Pieces.
  • Put the silver jar topper on top, cover with a piece of round scrapbook paper, then screw on the jar’s lid.
  • Wrap some fun ribbon around the silver lid.
  • Optional: If you’ve got a Silhouette, you could even print the words ‘Cookie Mix’ like I did here.

Attach a Label with Baking Instructions:

  • Attach a label {or you can add the instructions to the top of the jar’s lid} with the following baking instructions.
  • Beat together 2 eggs and 1/2 cup Vegetable or Canola Oil in medium bowl.
  • Pour in entire contents of jar, and stir well with spoon.
  • Drop onto ungreased non-stick cookie sheet in rounded balls.
  • Bake for approx. 8 – 9 minutes {or until done} at 350 degrees.

      Hi Heidi ~ I haven’t tried it with Devil’s Food Cake Mix… it will work, I’m just not sure how much it will alter the flavor. I have tried with the Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix and that’s really good, too. 🙂

    Sounds great! Can’t wait to try it. Can you clarify the amount of Andes please…the bags of chips are 10 oz but if you chop your own from a package of the 28ct, that’s only 4.67oz. Thanks for such delicious and easy recipes for busy folks!

      Hi Missy ~ I’m so glad you’re enjoying the recipes! If chopping your own Andes Mint pieces, just use two packages of the mints… you’ll just want the equivalent of somewhere around 10 oz. Hope that helps! 😉

    I love this recipe! The swap of milk chocolate for dark chocolate gives it much more decadence.
