Instructions to make Homemade Soy Candles
1: Attach bottom of wick to wick sticker, then affix wick sticker to the inside base of the jar. {have two 8 oz. jars ready}
2: Pour 4 cups of Soy Wax flakes into microwavable dish – I like to use my 4 cup measuring cup that has an easy pouring spout.
3: Microwave wax for 1 minute, stir, then for 30 second increments (stirring in between each time), until wax has completely melted.
4: After wax has melted, add in 100 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil or other choice of Essential Oil scent for a lightly scented candle, or around 1 oz {or 30 ml} of Candle Fragrance Oil for a stronger scented candle. {I prefer using the Fragrance Oils for more luscious, highly scented candles}
5: Stir well, then carefully pour into your two 8 oz. mason jars you prepared with wicks.
6: As the wax dries, you can keep the wick propped up by laying 2 pencils across the top of the jar, and resting the wick on top.
7: Allow wax to solidify overnight, prop the top of the wicks upright, trim the wicks, and you’re done!
Wasn’t that SO easy?
The first time I made candles I seriously couldn’t believe how easy they were to make!
