What You’ll Need to Make This Chocolate Cookie Mix in a Jar

Here’s what you’ll need to grab at the grocery and/or craft store on your next visit…

  • 1 box Betty Crocker Triple Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix (13.25 oz.)
  • 1 2/3 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • Twine
  • 1 Quart Size Wide Mouth Mason Jar
  • 1 Red Bandana

How to Make Chocolate Cookie Mix in a Jar

It’s actually crazy easy to make this adorable cookie mix in a jar.

Here’s what you’ll do…

1. Carefully empty entire contents of cake mix package into your jar.

2. Gently pack down.

3. Pour in Chocolate Chips.

4. Using your jar’s lid topper, trace a circle on your scrapbook paper, then cut out.

5. Put the silver jar topper on top, place a round scrap cut from a Red Bandana on top, then screw on the jar’s lid.

6. Cut a piece of twine and tie around the center of your jar with a bow, and you’re done!

Give as a gift to friends, family, foodies, coworkers, or neighbors!

Triple Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix Cookie Recipe

Attach a Label with Baking Instructions

Attach a label (or add the instructions to the top of the jar’s lid) with the following baking instructions:

1. Whisk together 2 Eggs + 1/3 cup Melted Butter in large bowl.

2. Pour in entire contents of jar, and stir well with spoon.

3. Chill dough in refrigerator for 2 hours.

4. Form cookie dough balls & bake on parchment lined cookie sheets.

5. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 – 13 minutes, or until done.

      The triple chocolate cookies in a jar taste amazing! It’s a chocoholic dream come true. They are fluffy, hold together well, rich chocolate taste, fast and easy to make. I doubt I will ever go back to making a regular cookie. Thank you for sharing frugalgirls!
