Hereâs another quick and easy Butterscotch Cookie Mix in a Jar that makes a great gift, and over-the-top delicious {and yes, addictive} Butterscotch Cookies!
Butterscotch Cookie Mix Recipe In a Jar

What Youâll Need To Make This Butterscotch Cookie Mix Recipe In a Jar:
- 1 box Betty Crocker Butter Recipe Yellow Cake Mix {15.25 oz.}
- 1 bag Nestle Toll House Butterscotch Morsels {11 oz.}
- Ribbon or Twine
- Scrapbook Paper or a Brown Paper Bag
- 1 quart size Wide Mouth Mason Jar
Instructions:
- Carefully pour the contents of the cake mix package into your quart-sized wide mouth Mason Jar, and gently pat down the top.
- Pour in the Butterscotch Chips.
- Put the silver jar topper on top, place a round scrap of scrapbook paper {or brown paper bag cut into a circle} on top, then screw on the jarâs lid. {or you could use a doilie like I did here}
- Wrap ribbon or twine around the silver lid.
- You can also add a larger band of ribbon around the body of the jar, and a cute Flower! {see How to Make Cute Flower Headbands}
- Optional: If youâve got a Silhouette, you could even print the words âCookie Mixâ like I did here.
Attach a Label with Baking Instructions:
- Attach a label {or you can add the instructions to the top of the jarâs lid} with the following baking instructions.
- Beat together 2 eggs and 1/2 cup Vegetable or Canola Oil in medium bowl.
- Pour in entire contents of jar, and stir well with spoon.
- Chill dough for 15 minutes in the refrigerator prior to baking.
- Then, drop onto ungreased non-stick cookie sheet in rounded balls.
- Bake for approx. 8 â 9 minutes {or until done} at 350 degrees.
