Chewy Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

There is nothing tastier to me than a warm, fresh-out-of-the-oven, chocolate chip cookie!

And if you love chocolate chip cookies as much as I do, you’ll definitely want to try this twist on the traditional chocolate chip cookie recipe!

Land O Lakes Butter sent me this recipe to put to the test, and share with you!  These cookies are so yummy ~ you’ve got to try it!

Chewy Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 4 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups Land O Lakes Butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 (12-ounce) package (2 cups) real semi-sweet chocolate chunks or chocolate chips

Instructions:

  • Heat oven to 375 F.
  • Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda in medium bowl; set aside.
  • Combine butter, sugar and brown sugar in large bowl.
  • Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla.
  • Continue beating, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.
  • Reduce speed to low.
  • Beat, gradually adding flour mixture, until well mixed.
  • Stir in chocolate chunks.
  • Drop dough by 1/4 cupfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 10 to 14 minutes or until light golden brown. (Do not over bake.)
  • Let stand 1 minute on cookie sheet, then transfer to cooling rack.

Yum! These cookies were a big hit at my house, and are a fun non-traditional version of the classic chocolate chip cookie.

We took some to a friend’s house, and they named them the “World’s Best Cookie”!  ;)

Fresh from the oven is the only way I eat ‘em! Add a glass of cold milk for dipping them in and I’m set :)

Thanks for the recipe, I may have to test it against my Betty Crocker one someday soon.

I gave this recipe a try today and OMG, love these cookies. My son likes them too. I added some white chocolate chips since my son likes them better than the milk chocolate. Yum Yum! Thanks.

How many cookies does this recipe make? Can you make smaller cookies and get the same result? I don’t like flat cookies either.
