- Melted Butter (or Vegetable or Canola Oil)
- Eggs
- White Frosting
- Mini Chocolate Chips
- Mini M&M’s
*When it comes to Cake Mix Cookies, salted or unsalted butter can be used, as the cake mix will have a little salt in it. However, I’ve found that salted butter will result in superior flavor.

Cake mix cookies are SO easy to make ahead of time!
The dough can be made today, then stored covered in the refrigerator up to 2 days prior to baking your Snowman cookies.
How To Make Snowman Cookies
Treat yourself to one totally adorable Snowman cookie when you follow these simple step-by-step instructions:
Here’s what you’ll do…
1. Mix up your cookie dough.
2. Then chill your cookie dough in the refrigerator.
3. After dough has chilled, roll dough into small balls, and place on cookie sheet.
4. Bake in oven, then allow the cookies to cool on cookies sheets for 5 minutes, prior to moving to wire racks to finish cooling.
5. Once completely cooled, frost and decorate your cookies.

How to Store Cake Mix Cookies
After your snowman cookies have baked and completely cooled, they can be stored at room temperature, covered in an airtight container, for up to 3 days.

Snowman Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
- 13.25 ounces Betty Crocker Vanilla Cake Mix
- 1/3 cup Melted Butter (Vegetable or Canola Oil can be substituted)
- 2 large Eggs
- 2 cups White Frosting (Cream Cheese Frosting can be substituted)
- 10 ounces Nestle Mini Chocolate Chips
- 1.77 ounces M&M Minis
Instructions
- Remove orange M&M's from Minis tube, and set aside.
- Combine Cake Mix, Melted Butter (or oil), and Eggs in large mixing bowl, and mix with hand mixer or stand mixer until well combined.
- Cover dough and chill in refrigerator for 2 hours.
- After dough has chilled, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Line large baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Roll cookie dough into 1 1/2 tablespoon sized rounded balls and transfer to cookie sheet.
- Bake on center oven rack for 7 - 13 minutes, or until done. (Note: Bake on the shorter end of the time range for non-stick cookie sheets & longer end of the time range for aluminum cookie sheets.)
- Remove from oven and allow to cool on cookie sheets for 5 minutes.
- Transfer cookies to wire racks to finish cooling.
- Once completely cooled, frost cookies, and add mini chocolate chips for the snowman's eyes and mouth, and a mini orange M&M for the snowman's nose. ENJOY!
