Is it time to Clean your Coffee Maker??

First… let me tell you about my friend called Coffee.  My love and obsession can’t be taken lightly, and it probably has something to do with the fact that I grew up in Seattle.  It was rainy and cold and coffee in my cup was my daily happy!  Then I went on to do an internship one summer working at the Starbucks Headquarters.  Now that was a game changer… my love intensified beyond control!  {I was in good company with fellow obsessive coffee drinkers there, too!}

So anyhoo… if you use your Coffee Maker as much as I do, it probably could use a little cleaning, right?  Here’s another easy kitchen tip for you, using our other friend, Vinegar! 😉  Are you ready?

What You’ll Need:

What You’ll Do:

  1. Where you normally would pour the water for brewing, fill your coffee maker up 1/2 of of the way with vinegar.  Run the brewing cycle with vinegar only.
  2. Pour the brewed vinegar out of the pot.
  3. Fill your coffee maker up all the way with water.  Run the brewing cycle with water only.
  4. Repeat step 3 two more times {brewing a full cycle with water only}.  This will ensure the traces of vinegar are removed.
  5. That’s How to Clean your Coffee Maker!!… you’re done!  Now it’s time to go make some Coffee!!

This is how I roll…
