Ok ladies here is what I do when i make anything like a cake. I put several layers of paper towels on before I put on lid. Then in about 1 1/2 hour I check if paper towel wet or damp I change( could check more often if want to jsut takes longer to cook each time you open lid). This keeps the cake form getting a mess and wet on top. Like I said anything with that kind of texture I use this tip.

Wanda J, do you lay towels directly on top of cake or on top of pot just under lid? Also, do you repeat changing towels and baking cake til towels are dry? Thanks, Donna

Hi Ladies! Has anyone tried turning the cake out onto a tray for easier slicing?? It should work…like an upside-down cake, if the crock is sprayed with Pam.
