Just 3 ingredients, and you’ve got some seriously yummy dessert your family will LOVE! Or have this Key Lime heaven ready in your Crock Pot at your next party or cookout… it’s always a crowd-pleaser!
It’s the perfect combination of sweet with a bit of lime tang! Top it off with some whip cream or scoops of vanilla ice cream, and you’ve got a fabulous dessert!

Key Lime Dump Cake Recipe!
Ingredients
- 15.25 oz. Betty Crocker French Vanilla Cake Mix {1 box}
- 44 oz. Key Lime Pie Filling {use 2 cans 22 oz. each, OR use homemade Key Lime Pie filling}
- 8 tbsp. Butter, melted {1/2 cup or 1 stick}
Instructions
- Spray inside of Crock Pot with non-stick cooking spray
- Empty cans of Key Lime Pie Filling into bottom of Crock Pot, then spread out evenly.
- In medium mixing bowl, combine dry Vanilla Cake Mix and melted Butter, then stir until crumbly. {break up any large chunks into small crumbles with spoon}.
- Pour cake/butter crumble mixture over Key Lime mixture in Crock Pot, spread out evenly, and cover Crock Pot with lid.
- Cook on HIGH for 2 hours, or LOW for 4 hours.
- Optional: Serve with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream, or top with Whip Cream and Toasted Coconut. ENJOY!

I have been unable to find key lime pie filling anywhere. And I live in Florida!! But I bought sweetened condensed milk and key lime juice so hopefully it still tastes as good!!

Looks so yummy! What sized crock pot do you use? I have a 1 qt,, 5 qt and a 7 qt. I suppose the bigger the pot the thinner the cake, huh? Can’t wait to try this!
