It takes just a few simple ingredients to make the BEST Strawberry Dump Cake with Cake Mix!
Here’s what you’ll need…
- White Cake Mix – Vanilla Cake Mix can be substituted
- Strawberry Pie Filling – cans or homemade
- Butter – I like to use salted butter, but unsalted will work just fine, too
- Optional: Whip Cream or Vanilla Ice Cream for serving
You’ll also need a 9×13 baking dish to get the job done.
Trust me… making this easy 3 ingredient dessert is going to be so easy!
How to Make Strawberry Dump Cake
So you won’t believe how easy this delicious dessert is to make!
Here’s what you’ll do…
1. Spray the inside of your 9×13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
2. Evenly spread out the strawberry pie filling in the bottom of your baking dish.
3. Combine the cake mix with butter to make a buttery crumble topping, and sprinkle it over the strawberry pie filling.
4. Then bake as directed, and until the sides are hot and bubbly.
Serve with whip cream and/or vanilla ice cream.
Then just sit back, relax, and enjoy the compliments!

Strawberry Dump Cake Recipe
Ingredients
- 13.25 oz. Betty Crocker White Cake Mix box, (Vanilla can be substituted)
- 42 oz. Strawberry Pie Filling, (use 2 cans, 21 oz. each, OR use homemade Strawberry Pie filling)
- 1/2 cup Butter, melted, (8 tablespoons)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray inside of glass or ceramic 9×13 Casserole Dish with non-stick cooking spray
- Empty cans of Strawberry Pie Filling into bottom of baking dish, and spread out evenly.
- In medium mixing bowl, combine dry Cake Mix and melted Butter, and stir until crumbly. (Break up any large chunks into small crumbles with spoon.)
- Pour cake/butter crumble mixture over strawberries in baking dish, and spread out evenly.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until sides are hot and bubbly.
- Serve with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream or Whip Cream. ENJOY!!
