It takes just a few simple ingredients to make the BEST Cherry Pineapple Dump Cake!

Here’s what you’ll need to pick up from the grocery store

  • Butter Yellow Cake Mix – Yellow cake mix can be substituted
  • Crushed Pineapple – I like Dole for the best sweet flavor
  • Cherry Pie Filling – store bought or homemade will work
  • Butter – I like using salted butter for dump cakes, but unsalted will work fine, too
  • Optional: Flaked Coconut, Whip Cream, and/or Vanilla Ice Cream for topping

You’ll need a 5 – 6 quart Crockpot to get the job done, too.

How to Make Pineapple Dump Cake

You won’t believe how easy it is to make this tasty pineapple dessert in your slow cooker!!

Here’s what you’ll do…

1. Spray the inside of your crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.

2. Mix your cherry pie filling and drained pineapple in a small bowl.

3. Then evenly spread out the mixture in the bottom of the crockpot.

Crumble topping over fruit mixture in a slow cooker.

4. Combine the cake mix with butter to make a buttery crumble topping, and sprinkle it over the cherry pineapple mixture.

5. Cook in crockpot, and ENJOY!

Ingredients 

  • 13.25 oz. Betty Crocker Butter Yellow (or Yellow) Cake Mix box
  • 20 oz. Dole Crushed Pineapple, 1 can, drained
  • 21 oz. Cherry Pie Filling, (use one 21 oz. can, Or use homemade Cherry Pie filling)
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted
  • Optional: Flaked Coconut for Topping

Instructions 

  • Spray inside of Crockpot with non-stick cooking spray
  • Empty can of Cherry Pie Filling and drained can of Crushed Pineapple into mixing bowl, and stir well.
  • Pour contents into bottom of crockpot, and spread out evenly.
  • In medium mixing bowl, combine dry Cake Mix and melted Butter, and stir until crumbly. (Break up any large chunks into small crumbles with spoon.)
  • Pour cake/butter crumble mixture over pineapple/cherry mixture in crockpot, and spread out evenly, and cover crockpot with lid.
  • Cook on HIGH for 2 hours, or LOW for 4 hours.
  • Serve with Ice Cream or Whip Cream, and garnish with flaked Coconut… ENJOY!!
