Can you use a instant pot and set it on slow cooking?
Heidi says
I honestly haven’t ever tried that, Kathy… but if you do, let me know it turns out!
Joann says
Can u use one can of pie filling instead of 2
Heidi says
Hi Joann ~ Two cans of pie filling really works best for this recipe. You can try to make it with just one can, but you’ll end up with a much higher cake crumble to pie filling ratio.
Erika says
Is it better cooked on low or high?
Heidi says
Hi Erika ~ either way works just fine, and turns out pretty much identical. It’s just more of a preference of when you want to start your Crock Pot, based on how much time you have before serving it. 😉
Patty says
Can I use fresh peaches…if so, do I need to add anything else?
Heidi says
Hi Patty ~ if using fresh peaches, here’s a recipe for an Easy Peach Pecan Dump Cake… hope that helps!

This was very good and I’m not a peach lover. I put paper towels under the lid of the slow cooker to absorb the moisture.

Can this be made ahead of time and then pop in microwave to warm it up before serving?
Trying not to take my 7 qt crockpot on RV trip.

Hi Christy ~ Honestly, I’ve found that this tastes the best on the same day it’s made. If you’re taking a cast iron skillet on your RV trip, it tastes amazing made in that as well! Here’s a link: https://thefrugalgirls.com/2018/03/sweet-skillet-peach-crisp-recipe-cast-iron.html

Heidi says
Hi Georgette! I just used Peach Pie Filling, so there was no need to drain anything… you’ll just use the entire can. Hope that helps!

Do you drain the peaches? Or just pour the entire can in?
Heidi says
Hi Becca ~ I used Peach Pie Filling for this recipe, so no need to drain anything… you’ll just use the entire can. ENJOY! 🙂
Cree says
I made this and it was awesome what I want to know is can you double the recipe.
Heidi says
Hi Cree ~ I haven’t tried doubling this one yet. You might be able to pull it off if you have a very large crockpot… or you could use 2 crockpots side by side. If you try doubling, let me know how it turns out!

Hi Lynda ~ I’ve made it in a few different sizes, and I usually keep going back to the 5 – 6 quart oval size. It’s my favorite for this recipe… hope that helps! 😉
