Who said you can’t make an outrageously delicious dessert in your Crock Pot?  Oh you can!  This Crock Pot Apple SPice Dump Cake couldn’t be easier and is the perfect ending to any day!  Just 4 ingredients, and you’re done!

Capture the cozy flavors of Fall with Apples, Cinnamon, Spice, and yes… everything nice.  Just dump it in and walk away!

So here’s what you’ll need to make your Slow Cooker Apple Dump Cake…

How Does A Dump Cake Work?

This is honestly one of the easiest desserts you can make!

The very forgiving ingredients for this Crockpot Apple Dump Cake are simply dumped, in layers, into your slow cooker.  Once everything has been added to your slow cooker, all you’ll need to do is place the lid on top and wait for the magic to happen!

Your cook time will be 2 hours if you cook on high heat, or 4 hours if you cook on low heat.

Do You Refrigerate Apple Dump Cake?

Yes you can.

This Slow Cooker Apple Spice Dump Cake Recipe serves up a whole lot of goodness.  So much goodness, that it may just last you for days.

Although this dump cake is best enjoyed the same day you make it, if you need too, leftovers can be saved in your fridge.

Can You Eat Apple Crumble Cold?

I don’t recommend it.  This Apple Crumble is definitely best when served hot!  To make it even more amazing, be sure to top it with some whipped cream or a large scoop of vanilla ice cream… YUM!

Crock Pot Dump Cake {apple spice}

This Apple Spice Crock Pot Dump Cake is sure to get you in the mood for Fall!  Cinnamon, spice, and everything nice!

Ingredients

  • 15.25 oz. Betty Crocker Spice Cake Mix {1 box}
  • 42 oz. Apple Pie Filling {use 2 cans 21 oz. each, OR use homemade Apple Pie Filling}
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted
  • 2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon

Instructions

  • Spray inside of Crockpot with non-stick cooking spray
  • Empty cans of Apple Pie Filling into bottom of crockpot, and spread out evenly.
  • Sprinkle Cinnamon over the apple pie filling.
  • In medium mixing bowl, combine dry Cake Mix and melted Butter, and stir until crumbly. {break up any large chunks into small crumbles with spoon}.
  • Pour cake/butter crumble mixture over apples in crockpot, spread out evenly, and cover crockpot with lid.
  • Cook on HIGH for 2 hours, or LOW for 4 hours.
  • Serve with Ice Cream or Whip Cream and ENJOY!!

    I used exactly as recipe says but mine was more of a thicker batter mix now a crumble… idk why it was different. Hope this works. Smells good.

        I didnt double it. I was really worried that it may not cook all the way.
        What with having it for the holiday. Would have been a disaster.

      Hi Nannette,

      If baking the Apple Spice Dump Cake in the oven, you’ll want to bake for around 30 minutes at 350 degrees in a 9×13 pan.

    Has anyone tried this with fresh apples? I’m guessing you would have to season and cook the apples. Any ideas?

      Doing fresh apples at this very moment. Put some cinnamon, butter and trivia sugar on top.
      I’ll finish cooking it with cake mix in morning.
