This delightful Crock Pot Apple Spice Dump Cake serves up the perfect ending to any day. It wonderfully captures the cozy flavors of Fall with Apples, Cinnamon, Spice, and yes… everything nice.

Plus, this Crock Pot dump cake is SO simple to make, too!  And by simple, I mean… one of the easiest desserts you’ll ever make!

Just 4 ingredients, and you’re done!

Then… you’ll just dump everything in your slow cooker and walk away!

It really is that easy!

So what are you waiting for?

Here’s what you’ll need to make your Slow Cooker Apple Dump Cake…

How Does A Dump Cake Work?

This is honestly one of the easiest desserts you can make!

The very forgiving ingredients for this Crockpot Apple Dump Cake are simply dumped, in layers, into your slow cooker.

Once everything has been added to your slow cooker, all you’ll need to do is place the lid on top and wait for the magic to happen!

Your cook time will vary depending on if you choose to cook on high or low heat.

Crock Pot Apple Spice Dump Cake Ingredients

You’ll just need a few simple ingredients to make the BEST Apple Spice Dump Cake!

Check your cupboards or pantry, or add the following to your next grocery list, so you’ve got everything on hand…

  • Spice Cake Mix
  • Apple Pie Filling – or use this Homemade Apple Pie Filling
  • Butter
  • Cinnamon

You’ll also need a 5 – 6 quart Crock Pot to get the job done.

When it comes to butter, I like using salted butter, but unsalted will work just fine, too.

Trust me… making this easy 4 ingredient dessert is going to be so easy!

How To Make a Crock Pot Dump Cake

Making this apple spice dump cake in your slow cooker is such a cinch!

Here’s what you’ll do…

1. Spray your Crockpot with a non-stick cooking spray.

2. Then pour the apple pie filling into the Crockpot.

3. Combine the dry cake mix with melted butter to create crumble topping.

4. Then sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apple pie filling in your Crockpot.

How To Make Apple Spice Dump Cake in a Cast Iron Skillet

Did you know you can make Apple Spice Dump Cake in a cast iron skillet, too?

It’s SO easy!

Simply follow the instructions in the recipe below for the Slow Cooker Apple Dump Cake, but instead, bake in a 12″ cast iron skillet in the oven at 350 degrees for 50 minutes, or until top is crispy and edges are hot and bubbly.

Also, instead of spraying with non-stick cooking spray, when using a skillet I like to pour 3 tbsp. Melted Butter into bottom of 12″ Cast Iron Skillet & swirl around so bottom of skillet is evenly coated.

Do You Refrigerate Apple Dump Cake?

Yes you can.

This Slow Cooker Apple Spice Dump Cake Recipe serves up a whole lot of goodness.

So much goodness, that it may just last you for days.

Although this dump cake is best enjoyed the same day you make it, if you need too, leftovers can be saved in your fridge.

Can You Eat Apple Crumble Cold?

I don’t recommend serving your apple crumble cold.

This Apple Spice Crock Pot Dump Cake is definitely best enjoyed when served hot!

To make it even more amazing, be sure to top it with some whipped cream or a large scoop of vanilla ice cream.

YUM!

        Hi Nannette,

If baking the Apple Spice Dump Cake in the oven, you’ll want to bake for around 30 minutes at 350 degrees in a 9×13 pan.

        Hope that helps! 🙂
