I don’t recommend using water in your Crock Pot when preparing a roast.
For this recipe I have used beef broth instead of water. Â This still keeps the roast moist, while also infusing maximum flavor into the roast as it cooks.

Low heat is always the best temperature for preparing a beef roast in your Crock Pot.
Preparing your roast at the low heat setting in your Crock Pot, for a longer period of time, will ensure your roast is as tender and tasty as possible.
How Long Does It Take For A Roast To Get Tender In Crock Pot?
To achieve a deliciously tender roast, I recommend preparing your roast in slow cooker at the low temperature setting for 7 hours.

Ingredients
Instructions
- Add dry ingredients to small bowl and mix together for rub.
- Pat Roast with paper towels to dry and remove any strings or netting.
- Pour Beef Broth into Crock Pot. {I used a 6 quart}
- Carefully place Roast in Crock Pot and generously add rub over top and sides of Roast.
- Add in quartered White Onion around the Roast.
- Cook on LOW for 6-7 hours, or until tender.
- When done, remove Roast from Crock Pot, place on serving platter and slice.
- Serve with a side of Loaded Mashed Potatoes. ENJOY!
