How to Make Green Bean Casserole in a Crock Pot

Crockpot Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients
- 28 ounces Frozen Green Beans, (two 14 ounce packages, thawed for 1 hour)
- 1 pound Bacon, cooked and chopped
- 21 ounces Cream of Mushroom Soup, (two 10.5 oz. cans)
- 1 cup Evaporated Milk
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan Cheese
- 5 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- 2 cups French Fried Onions
Instructions
- Add Cream of Mushroom Soup, Evaporated Milk, Parmesan Cheese, Garlic, Onion Powder and Pepper to large bowl, then stir until thoroughly combined.
- Next, add thawed Frozen Green Beans and Cooked Chopped Bacon to your large bowl, and stir again.
- Spray inside of 5 - 6 quart crockpot with nonstick cooking spray, then transfer creamy bean mixture to crockpot.
- Cover crockpot with lid and cook on LOW for 4 hours, or until done. (do not overcook)
- When done, stir well, top with French Fried Onions, then turn crockpot off or to 'Warm' setting.
- Leave lid off crockpot, and serve straight from crockpot. With the lid kept off, this will allow the French Fried Onions to remain crunchy. ENJOY!

Can you substitute Canned green beans instead of frozen?
Hi Debbie, I know some people have made this using canned green beans. It would affect the cook time though, as it would be done faster. I’ve never made it myself this way, so I’m unable to tell you how long to cook it, but just keep an eye on it. If you do give it a try… let me know how it goes!
