Crockpot Green Bean Casserole with Bacon Ingredients

It takes just a few delicious ingredients to make the BEST slow cooker green beans!

Add the following to your next grocery list to make sure you’ve got everything on hand…

  • Frozen Green Beans – you’ll need 2 bags.
  • Bacon – See How to Cook Perfect Crispy Bacon
  • Cream of Mushroom Soup – you’ll need 2 cans.
  • Evaporated Milk
  • Parmesan Cheese – you’ll want shredded, not grated.
  • Garlic Cloves – you can use freshly minced, or minced from the jar.
  • Onion Powder
  • Black Pepper
  • French Fried Onions – for the perfect crunchy topping.

You’ll also need a 5 – 6 quart Crock Pot to get the job done.

That’s it.  It really is so easy to make with just 9 ingredients!

How to Make Green Bean Casserole in a Crock Pot

You won’t believe how simple it is to make the BEST Green Bean Casserole with Bacon in your slow cooker!

Here’s what you’ll do…

1. Add your ingredients to large bowl, and stir until well combined.

2. Cook your Crock Pot casserole as specified.

3. When done, stir well in the crockpot with a large spoon, top with French Fried Onions, then turn crockpot off or to ‘warm’ setting.

To serve, simply leave the lid off of your crockpot, serve straight from the crockpot, and ENJOY!!

Crockpot Green Bean Casserole with Bacon

Making your Crockpot Green Bean Casserole with Bacon is pure genius.  It's such an easy way to massively upgrade your green bean casserole for the Holidays!

Servings: 10

Ingredients

  • 28 ounces Frozen Green Beans (two 14 ounce packages, thawed for 1 hour)
  • 1 pound Bacon cooked and chopped
  • 21 ounces Cream of Mushroom Soup (two 10.5 oz. cans)
  • 1 cup Evaporated Milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • 5 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 cups French Fried Onions

Instructions

  • Add Cream of Mushroom Soup, Evaporated Milk, Parmesan Cheese, Garlic, Onion Powder and Pepper to large bowl, then stir until thoroughly combined.
  • Next, add thawed Frozen Green Beans and Cooked Chopped Bacon to your large bowl, and stir again.
  • Spray inside of 5 - 6 quart crockpot with nonstick cooking spray, then transfer creamy bean mixture to crockpot.
  • Cover crockpot with lid and cook on LOW for 4 hours, or until done. (do not overcook)
  • When done, stir well, top with French Fried Onions, then turn crockpot off or to 'Warm' setting.
  • Leave lid off crockpot, and serve straight from crockpot.  With the lid kept off, this will allow the French Fried Onions to remain crunchy. ENJOY!

        Hi Debbie, I know some people have made this using canned green beans. It would affect the cook time though, as it would be done faster. I’ve never made it myself this way, so I’m unable to tell you how long to cook it, but just keep an eye on it. If you do give it a try… let me know how it goes!

      What an interesting use of Evaporated Milk. My husband has just told me (after 25 years) that he does not like green beans! Pity as I love them and would have loved to try this recipe.

        Oh that’s so sad, Tandy! And about the milk… I love using evaporated milk in crockpot recipes, because it just seems to cook better… regular milk is quicker to curdle.
