How Many Stars Would You Give This Recipe?

  1. Dee says:

Do you think this would work well with chicken thighs?

    1. Heidi says:

Absolutely, Dee! You can definitely substitute thighs for chicken breasts in this recipe. Just keep an eye on the time when cooking, as it may vary slightly.

  2. Judi says:

Can you cube the chicken before cooking?

    1. Heidi Miller says:

You could, but you would have to drastically shorten the cook time. Or you can follow the instructions above, and just cube at the end. Hope that helps!

  3. Jeana says:

Three pounds of chicken? That’s seems like a lot for only one and a half jars of sauce and 10 ounces of broccoli. Is 3 pounds correct?

    1. Heidi says:

      Hi Jeana,

Yes, 3 pounds is correct. However, you could use less chicken if needed. You would just need to adjust your cook time accordingly.

      Enjoy!

      ~ Heidi

  4. Dawn says:

Can I make this in oven instead?

    1. Heidi Miller says:

Definitely… after baking your chicken I would drain the juices, then add the sauce to warm up at the end to ensure it doesn’t get watered down. Hope that helps!

  5. Rebecca Dillon says:

    This looks so easy!

    1. Heidi says:

Thanks, Rebecca… it really is one of the easiest dinners you’ll make all week! 🙂

  6. Rachel says:

If I wanted to make this more of a soup, could I add it all at the beginning, plus put some chicken broth in there, and shred the chicken when its done? What do you think?

  7. Jordynn says:

What would the issue be with adding it all from the beginning?

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Jordynn… if you added it from the beginning you would end up with a watered-down less flavorful sauce. Adding it in at the end, after draining the juices, will result in a thicker more flavorful dish. 😉

  8. Libby says:

Do you put any water or other liquid in with the chicken?

    1. Kelly Potter says:

I didn’t. It did not stick to my crock pot at all if that’s what you are concerned about, as I was…

  9. Megan says:

Do you have any nutrional information about this recipe??

    1. Trish says:

I did a quick lookup of the ingredients and came up with 215 calories and 9 grams of carbs per serving. I didn’t look at the other macros though.

  10. Celeste Banet says:

I added mushrooms, onion and curry powder to the Alfredo Chicken recipe for a different twist!

    1. Heidi says:

That sounds like a delicious twist to the recipe, Celeste… thanks for sharing!
