Lisa says
why not cook the chicken with the cesar dressing the full time? Seems weird to just cook the chicken alone.
Heidi says
Hi Lisa ~ if you were to cook the chicken in the dressing for the full time, you would end up with a very diluted sauce. When you cook the chicken alone, drain all of the juices it releases, then add the sauce, you’ll end up with a thicker, richer, and much more flavorful sauce. Hope that helps! 🙂
Rachel says
Super yummy. Will be making this again
Heidi says
So glad you liked it, Rachel! 🙂
amy says
My friend makes this and shreds the chicken and puts it on whole roman lettus leaves, kinda like a taco. Its delicious!
Lauren says
Tried this for dinner for the first time tonight, SUPER yummy! I served with a salad and the rest of the Caesar dressing. Perfect! The chicken wasn’t dry at all and it was so full of flavor. I actually used Aldi brand dressing.
Heidi says
So glad to hear you loved it, Lauren! 🙂
Jasmin says
Can you just make this without using the crockpot? How would the recipe be altered. I figure if the chicken breast are already thawed, I can just make them in the oven.
Heidi says
Made this today and it was super delicious! I even put the chicken in frozen. Thank you!
Denise says
Does it HAVE to be breasts do you think? I have two family-sized packages of thighs and would like to try this recipe.
Kati says
I just got the ingriedients for this. Sounds yummy! When I’m cooking the chicken the first few hours do I need to add any water to the crockpot? Thanks!
Heidi says
Hi Kati ~ no water is required, as the chicken will end up cooking in the juices it releases. Hope that helps! 😉
Lisa says
Thank you! I pinned the Caesar Parmesan Chicken recipe a few weeks ago but I made it today. Those are ingredients I always have and in the crockpot to boot. We live in a rural area so running to the store for missing ingredients isn’t an option. I have been under the weather so my husband is thrilled that there is a yummy dinner tonight. Thank you so much!
Heidi says
Aww ~ thanks so much for the sweet comment, Lisa! Enjoy your dinner!! 🙂
