  1. Marcy says:

Can one use boneless chicken thighs instead of the drumsticks ?
    Would the cooking time change?
The ranch buffalo drumstick recipe is what I’m referring to.
    Thanks.

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Marcy ~ absolutely… 6 – 8 fresh {or thawed} boneless chicken thighs can be substituted for the drumsticks. The cook time is usually pretty similar, but just keep an eye on them. If using larger thighs you may need to lengthen the time a bit. ENJOY! 🙂

  2. Joe Haney says:

We had this for the first time tonight, awesome. Bringing this to a tailgate in two weeks.

    1. Heidi says:

So glad to hear you liked them, Joe! Aren’t they just packed with flavor? And I agree… perfect for your tailgate menu!

  3. D says:

    Does the skin get crispy?

    1. Heidi says:

Hi D ~ no… the skin does not get crispy. 😉

  4. Kimberley says:

I was in a hurry and scatterbrain mama accidently put the hot sauce in at the beginning. Is that bad?

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Kimberley ~ that will still work, it will just result in a much more watered-down sauce. I like to toss out the juices to keep the sauce more flavorful and thick, but adding it at the beginning will work, too. 🙂

  5. Sharaye says:

I’m sooo tempted to try this but what would be a good side dish ???

  6. Lauren says:

Making this for dinner tonight… Wondered what y’all think I should make with it? In kinda drawing a blank! HELP!

    1. Chris says:

      I’m thinking mac n cheese

      1. Heidi Miller says:

Mac and cheese is a fantastic side with this!

  7. Laura says:

My roommates and i love this recipe! I am making it for the second time right now. 30 mins left on the crock pot!

    1. Heidi says:

So glad to hear you are all loving it, Laura! 🙂

  8. isa says:

Is it a must to use “franks wing sauce” is it okay to use a different wing sauce??

    1. Heidi Miller says:

You can definitely use a different wing sauce if you’d like to.

  9. Taylor says:

just had these for dinner ! doubled the recipe and used wings and breast tenderloins instead and it was delicious! I will never cook wings a different way again 😊😊

    1. Heidi says:

Yay ~ so glad you loved it, Taylor! The tenderloins sound like a delicious addition, too! 😉
