Try adding corn flakes on top as well. Gives a little crunch and tastes amazing!

What would you suggest subbing for the cream of mushrum soup? My father and I are allergic!

You can add cream of “anything” soup to replace the cream of mushroom, if it’s the mushrooms you are allergic to. I have made cheesy hash-brown casserole with both cream of chicken, and cream of celery, because that’s what I had on hand, and it works too.

I have never thought to add bacon to hash-brown casserole…..definitely going to try this! I might even add it to the top with a little extra cheese for the last 15 minutes of the cooking time!!

I’ve had it w/ cream of potato soup and find it to be rather delicious.

This recipe sounds yummy! I have one question though. Maybe I am overlooking it, but I don’t see where you are supposed to add the cheese in the instructions. I assume it goes in with all the other ingredients?

Oopsy ~ sorry about that, Sandra! Yes… you’ll add the cheese and stir when combining all other of the main ingredients. I’ve corrected the instructions above. Thanks for letting me know! 😉 ENJOY!!
