Love this recipe. It has become a favorite of ours. Have pork steaks in the crock pot now, hope it’s just as good as the chicken!
Alexa Mendoza says
Do we season the chicken with anything before putting it in the crock pot?
Heidi says
Hi Alexa ~ you can season with a little salt and/or pepper if you’d like, but it’s not necessary due to the yummy strong flavors you’ll get in the sauce. Hope that helps! 🙂

Wow, the ranch hot wings are amazing this is my new wing recipe. I can’t wait to try the rest of the chicken recipes from this site.
Heidi says
Thanks Lyric ~ so glad you liked them! Aren’t they so simple and SO delicious?? 🙂
Virginia Edwards says
Anyone know about how many calories is in this dish? I am trying to import it into MyFitnessPal, and it’s coming up at about 289 calories per serving. Does that sound about right? Thanks!

Made these today and they were delicious! I don’t even like white meat but these were so moist and juicy it was unbelievable. I used bone in skin on breasts and they were still done in 3 hours. After they were done i pulled the skin off since the crock pot left it ‘flabby’, but the flavor and moisture in the meat was what was so surprising. Hubby loved them too! I made home made rice pilaf and corn as sides. Will definitely make these again. So happy i found this site from Pinterest.
Heidi says
Aww ~ I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed it! 😉
Jamie says
I just made this almost exactly by the recipe (we prefer thigh meat) and shredded it up and put it on buns. The whole family raved and it was completely gone!!! So so so good!
Heidi says
So glad you all loved it, Jamie! 😉
stephanie says
Can you use thinly sliced chicken breast, where if you stick them in the oven they take 20 mins. Versus the general size. My family are not big fans of the thicker chicken, can you cook them on low for an hour? What do you suggest?
Stephanie.
Janet says
Wondering can u make this recipe with bone in chicken?
Julie says
I made this for dinner last night & it was fantastic! I shredded the chicken and served it over rice – everyone loved it. Thanks for sharing this quick & delicious recipe!
Heidi says

I love these recipes. I want more.
Tony says
What if you can’t drain the chicken because you’re at work? Also if you’re going to be away for a good 6-8+ hours coil you just add everything and leave it on low?
Heidi says
Hi Tony… yes ~ you can cook on Low for 6 – 8 hours, or until done. You can also add all ingredients at the beginning… I just prefer draining juices and adding the sauce at the end for a thicker sauce. 😉

I couldn’t find the Honey Chipotle Baby Ray’s at our Walmart, so I grabbed the Raspberry Chipotle instead. It turned out wonderful! I love super easy crock pot recipes 🙂
Shelly says
What about throwing some potatoes in the crock pot
meg says
these recipes look great… for the peach chipotle chicken… as well as some of the other chicken ones… can you freeze all the ingredients together and then thaw and cook?
Heidi says
Hi Meg ~ yes… you could do that as well. In the end the sauce won’t be as thick as in the original recipe, but it will definitely still work. 🙂
Rachel Gill says
Hello! I was wanting to try a coulpe of the dishes but where do you find the panda express sauces??
Heidi says
Hi Rachel ~ you can find the Panda Express sauces at most grocery stores, as well as most Panda Express Restaurants {up by the counter}. If you’re not able to find them there, you can also find them here on Amazon: http://amzn.to/191pweS Hope that helps! 😉
Ruba says
I bought them at Smiths “Kroger”
Angela says
We found the honey chipotle sauce at Meijier. Made this tonight and it was a HUGE hit! The kids loved it! I shredded the chicken before adding the sauce and it turned out fantastic….thanks for posting such a simple, tasty recipe!

Elissa says
Where did you find the honey chipotle bbq sauce? I’ve looked at a few stores and I find other Sweet Baby Ray’s bbq sauce flavors but not this one.
Heidi says
Hi Elissa ~ I found it at my local Fry’s Grocery Store {Kroger}. You may also want to check at Walmart if you live near one? Hope that helps!
L says
Walmart has it 🙂
Stephanie says
I want to make this chicken dish but do I cook the chicken plain or add water to the crock pot? I don’t want to ruin this dish but I think the chicken would burn if I put the chicken in the crock pot plain.
Heidi says
Hi Stephanie ~ you can just place the chicken breasts in the crockpot without any water… the chicken will end up cooking in its own juices that will drain. Hope that helps! 😉
Tia says
Heidi,
Do you know how many calories is in each serving? This was really good by the way and so very easy! Thank you!
