If you’re looking for an easy way to cook whole potatoes in your pressure cooker, you’ll love this easy Pressure Cooker Baked Potatoes Recipe!

Now you know I love these Crockpot Baked Potatoes, but if you need your potatoes done faster you’ll love this easy trick for how to cook potatoes in your pressure cooker!  It’s a much faster alternative to baking your potatoes in the oven and they turn out so delicious!

So just how long does it take to cook potatoes in a pressure cooker?  These easy pressure cooker whole potatoes will be done in just about 35 minutes!  Just set it and let your instant pot do the work for you!

Pressure Cooker Baked Potatoes! {Instant Pot Recipe}

Instant Pot to the rescue! This easy Pressure Cooker Baked Potatoes Recipe delivers yummy baked potatoes in a snap!

Ingredients

  • 6 medium Potatoes {approx 5 oz. each}
  • 1.5 cups Water

Instructions

  • Add Water to your pressure cooker, then place steam rack inside.
  • Scrub potatoes, pierce each potato with a fork several times {allowing steam to escape when cooking}, then evenly lay your scrubbed Potatoes on rack and lock lid in place.
  • Instant Pot Cooking Instructions: Cook on Manual, High Pressure, 15 minutes
  • Crock Pot Pressure Cooker Instructions: Select Beans/Chili, High Pressure, 15 minutes, Start
  • Once potatoes are done, naturally release pressure before removing lid.
  • Optional: Top with sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and chives. YUM!

Notes

* In addition to cook time, it will take approx. 10-15 minutes to initially reach pressure before cook time begins, and an additional 10 minutes to naturally release pressure after cooking has completed.

    Do you need to poke holes in the potatoes, so they don’t explode??

      Hi Jessica ~ yes… you’ll want to pierce each potato with a fork several times prior to cooking, to allow the steam to escape during the pressure cooking process.
