Now when it comes to dinner, Greek food is one of my favorites.

There’s just something so tantalizing about the fresh flavors, traditional cooking methods, and colorful dishes!

Awhile back, I was at one of our favorite local Greek restaurants, and ordered some Greek Fries with my pita.  But after I ordered them, I thought, wait… what ARE Greek Fries?!?

So I asked the waitress, and she said it’s simple… just french fries topped with fresh-squeezed lemon juice, tangy feta cheese, and dried oregano.

Um… YUM!

Once I had them, I was hooked!

It was like indulging in a glorious flavor party in my mouth.  Fries were never the same again!

Talk about an easy way to add some serious flavor to your french fries, right?

What’s The Difference Between Greek Fries and French Fries?

When it comes to fries, standard French Fries are salted and dipped in Ketchup.

Greek Fries, however, are all about the toppings.

No ketchup is needed, because they’ll be drizzled with savory Mediterranean flavors like Lemon, Feta, and Oregano.

So what are Greek Fries made of?  You’ll just need four simple things!

Check your cupboards, pantry, fridge, and freezer, or add the following to your next grocery list to make sure you’ve got everything on hand!

  • Frozen French Fries – Homemade fries can be substituted.
  • Dried Oregano – Learn How to Dry Oregano Leaves
  • Lemon – to add the perfect pop of Mediterranean flavor
  • Feta Cheese – authentically Greek and perfectly salty to add flavor and texture

That’s it.  So simple, yet so brilliant!!

How to Make Greek Fries

You won’t believe how easy it is to make your own restaurant style Greek fries at home!

Here’s what you’ll do…

1. Pour your bag of frozen french fries out onto a parchment lined baking sheet.

2. Then sprinkle fries Dried Oregano.

3. Bake your frozen french fries per instructions on the bag.

4. Then transfer your hot fries to a serving plate.

5. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over your fries, then top with crumbled feta cheese.

Serve immediately and ENJOY!!

Ingredients 

  • 32 ounces Frozen French Fries , (Or make Homemade Potato Wedges)
  • 2 teaspoons Dried Oregano
  • 1 Lemon, (cut in half)
  • 1/4 cup Feta Cheese

Instructions 

  • Lay French Fries out on parchment paper lined cookie sheet, and sprinkle with Oregano. Then bake per package instructions.
  • After fries have baked, transfer to a large plate.
  • Squeeze lemon juice over the fries. I used 1/2 of a lemon, but you can adjust that higher or lower based on your preference.
  • Then sprinkle Feta Cheese over fries, serve immediately and ENJOY!
