A pineapple teriyaki burger literally bursting with tropical teriyaki flavors is a treat you really need to experience for yourself!

Rhonda writes: "These are wonderful!"

With these burgers, you’ll find sweet and tangy teriyaki sauce crammed into every nook and cranny of your burger patties. Then, to send things over-the-top, we add perfectly chargrilled slices of sweet pineapple.

This my friends creates nothing less than a sweet Hawaiian teriyaki dream come true!

They’re also super quick and easy to grill up, and always disappear as fast as I can make them! Just like when I make my tasty Ranch Burger, outrageous BBQ Burgers, and flavor packed honey Mustard Grilled Chicken.

We love them so much, we’ve even made them on the grill by the beach on Kauai! 🙂

Now those are some delicious memories! (See my Kauai Travel Guide for more about that trip.)

You can even serve your teriyaki burger alongside a Sparkling Pineapple Mocktail to create a dreamy tropical duo!

So what are you waiting for?

With blue skies and warm weather, it’s the perfect time to grilled up some heavenly Hawaiian burgers…

Ingredients including Saltines, pineapple slices, and egg.

Ingredients

Like all of my easy Summer Grilling Recipes, you’ll only need a few simple ingredients to make the BEST Hawaiian burgers recipe!

First check in your kitchen, then add the following to your next grocery list to make sure you’ve got everything on hand…

  • Ground Beef – The higher the quality ground beef the better your burger will taste.
  • Teriyaki Sauce – I recommend the Kikkoman Original Teriyaki Sauce OR my heavenly Hawaiian Teriyaki Sauce.
  • Egg – This helps hold everything together.
  • Crackers – Combined with the egg, these help to hold the teriyaki sauce infused ground beef patties together.
  • Dole Pineapple Slices – Fresh Pineapple slices can be substituted.
  • Hamburger Buns – Upgrade your burgers with my Easy Hamburger Buns or Small Buns for Sliders!
  • White Onion – Sliced and grilled to create the ultimate Hawaiian burger topping.
  • Lettuce – For a refreshing teriyaki burger finish.
  • *Optional: Swiss Cheese

How To Make Teriyaki Burgers

Making your own pineapple teriyaki burgers is a cinch, and once you try them… you’ll never want boring, plain burgers again!

1. Mix your ingredients together in a medium mixing bowl.

2. Then form the beef into 8 burger patties, before carefully stacking the patties on pieces of wax paper and covering.

3. Place your burger patties in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to marinate.

4. Then cook your teriyaki burger patties and pineapple rings per the instructions in the recipe card below.

5. Finally, build your teriyaki pineapple burgers starting with the cooked burgers and buns. Then add your teriyaki burger toppings: chargrilled pineapple slices, an extra dash of teriyaki sauce, grilled onions, lettuce, and an optional slice of Swiss cheese.

That’s it. Easy peasy! Simple Beef Dinner Recipes really don’t get any tastier or more rewarding than this flavor packed Red Robin teriyaki burger recipe copycat!

How To Store

Want to store your teriyaki burger patties even longer? Just carefully place your wax paper stacked burger patties in a gallon sized freezer bag. Before closing up the bag, try to remove as much air as possible. Then store in the freezer for 1-2 months.

When it’s time to grill them up, remove the number of frozen teriyaki burger patties you need the night before, and allow them to thaw in the refrigerator before grilling.
