What could you use instead of packet ranch. It’s impossible to get in Ireland as are many of your prepacked ingredients
COPYCAT H.V. RANCH DRESSING MIX
1/2 cup dry buttermilk (can use regular powdered milk, but I’m not sure how that would affect taste/texture)
1 T. dried parsley flakes
1 tsp. instant minced onions
1 tsp. dill weed
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. salt (I didn’t add it)
1/4 tsp. pepper
Hi, I was wondering if I can use the ranch dip mix instead of the seasoning? I grabbed that on accident!!
Hi Mallory ~ yes… that shouldn’t be a problem. ENJOY! 😉
Great recipe!!! My husband and I made it tonight and we shredded the chicken after it cooked and put it back in with the sauce mixture and had buffalo chicken tacos! Thanks for the inspiration and yummy meal!
Ooh ~ what a fun idea, Jenn!
This was excellent!!! I shredded the chicken and made sandwiches. After the 3 hour cook time, I shredded the chicken and then added the sauce, letting it cook for the 30 mins. YUMMY!!!!!
I’m so glad you liked it, Candace!! 😉
could you put the chicken in with the sauces and cook on low, instead of cooking chicken first and then adding sauces?
I cook mine with the sauces in on low for four hours. I used chicken tenders not breast and it was still awesome. I really enjoyed this recipe.
I am so new to the crock pot experience!! So I know this sounds silly, but when it says to cook the chicken for three hours, what do you cook it IN? Water? Broth? I worry about boiling it or making it too salty….
Hi Amanda ~ you’ll just cook the chicken by itself… the chicken will end up cooking in its own juices. No water or broth is necessary. Hope that helps! 😉
ALOT!!! Thank you!
Your recipes are so simple I love them! Want to make this one tonight have to run and get the right sauce. Do you mix in the whole bottle?
Aww ~ thanks, Taylor! Yes… I used the whole bottle. ENJOY!! 😉
Love your recipes they are Delicious!!!!!!
Aww ~ thank you, Alma! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the recipes! 😉
Hi, do any of your recipes have an 8 hour cook time? I’d love to be able to cook frozen chicken while I’m at work.
Hi Tiffany ~ for all of these crockpot recipes that cook on ‘High’, you can usually just double the cooking time and cook on ‘Low’. Hope that helps! 😉
Made this and it was fabulous! I added a block of reduced fat cream cheese for a creamy sauce. Yum! Thank you for the recipe! 🙂
Ooh ~ great idea, Jen… that sounds like a delicious twist! 😉
I was JUST thinking about doing that! So glad I checked the comments and so glad it worked, totally making this tonight!
