Should Pumpkin Cake Be Refrigerated?

It’s all about the frosting with this pumpkin spice cake mix recipe.

After your baked cake has cooled, you won’t need to refrigerate it until you frost it. Once you frost it with cream cheese frosting, then you’ll want to refrigerate any leftovers.

If the leftovers last long enough to make it to your fridge!

    This cake recipe looks good.
I make my pumpkin spice cake with 1 box spice cake mix, 1 envelope butterscotch pudding (dry mix only), 1 egg, 16oz sour cream, 1 can pumpkin puree, and pumpkin pie spice to taste. I make it in a well greased Bundt pan. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes. Let it rest in the pan for 30 minutes before inverting onto serving platter. The resulting cake is sooo moist and yummy (think 1/2 cake and 1/2 custard), it doesn’t need icing/frosting. When I do make frosting for it, I make a simple cream cheese frosting. YUM.
