Sausage and Peppers Ingredients

It takes just a few simple ingredients to make the BEST Skillet Sausage and Peppers!

Add the following to your next grocery list to make sure you’ve got everything on hand…

  • Bell Peppers – 1 red, 1 orange, 1 yellow (tonight we eat the rainbow!)
  • Onion – yellow for balanced sweet flavor
  • Garlic – minced
  • Beef Kielbasa – to pack in the protein
  • Sauerkraut – I prefer refrigerated for the probiotic boost, but you can use shelf stable, too
  • Brown Sugar – to balance out the flavors (See How to Keep Brown Sugar Softer)
  • Salt – to bring out the flavors (I like to use Sea Salt)

You’ll also need a skillet to get the job done.

That’s it. So simple!

What Meat Goes With Sauerkraut and Peppers?

For maximum flavor, Kielbasa Sausage (also known as Polish Sausage) is one of the tastiest meats you can serve up with sauerkraut.

Here’s what you’ll do…

1. Chop your veggies.

2. Slice your Kielbasa.
