Skillet Monkey Bread Recipe!
Ingredients
- 16 ounces Pillsbury Grands Original Biscuits {8 count container}
- ½ cup Granulated {White} Sugar
- ½ cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
- 6 tbsp. Butter melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease inside of 10" Cast Iron Skillet.
- Melt Butter in microwave safe bowl, and set aside.
- Combine Brown Sugar, Granulated Sugar, and Cinnamon in small bowl, and stir well until combined.
- Transfer Cinnamon Sugar mixture to gallon size ziploc bag and set aside.
- Cut each biscuit into 6 pieces.
- Once all pieces have been cut, take each piece one by one and dip into melted butter, then transfer into cinnamon sugar bag.
- Once all pieces have been added to bag, zip up and gently toss and turn to mix together until all pieces are completely coated.
- Transfer sugar coated biscuit pieces into skillet in a single layer.
- Bake for 25 - 30 minutes, or until done.
- Allow to cool for 5 - 10 minutes, then dig in! Pieces can be pulled apart and enjoyed straight from the skillet.
- Optional: drizzle with cream cheese icing or slather with cream cheese frosting for even more sweet deliciousness!

I make this recipe all the time, I love it! I have made a slight tweek to the recipe as written. Instead of dipping the pieces in butter and then transferring them to the cinnamon and sugars mixture, I toss the pieces in just the cinnamon and white sugar mixture and arrange it in the pan. I then melt the brown sugar and butter on the stove to a loose caramel and then pour over the pieces in the skillet. Bake as written. So good!
