Can you use chicken thighs instead?

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Sarah ~ Absolutely! You can definitely substitute thighs… you’ll just want to keep an eye on the cook time. 🙂

  2. Jalesa says:

    Is this ok without bacon

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Jalesa ~ yes, absolutely! This chicken tastes really delicious even without the bacon. ENJOY! 🙂

  3. Cassie says:

I will be using chicken tenderloins for the BBQ ranch recipe does it cook less? TIA

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Cassie ~ yes… smaller pieces should cook faster. Just keep an eye on them for cook time. I haven’t tried this recipe with tenderloins, but if you do… let me know how long they take. I’d love to hear!

  4. Monica says:

I’m curious with what else you serve your with bbq ranch chicken ?

  5. Deby Talley says:

Here is idea for you “Chicken & Dumpling” You can try it if you like and see what you think or just delete. I call it “homemade chicken noodle soup” in the summer and in the winter it becomes “chicken & Dumplings. I use the flour tortilla shells and cut them in strips add to boiling broth then add rest of ingredients. In summer I use carrots onion celery (and fresh veggies) chicken, noodles and can of cream of chicken. In the winter I use more chicken, broth, cream of chicken, cream of mushroom and flour tortilla strips. My Mom use to make homemade dumpling so thin they were like noodles plus I could never get the can biscuits to turn into dumplings. It”s worth a try and great for potluck dinners/suppers and easy. I use them fresh or frozen. Enjoy

    1. Heidi says:

That sounds so delicious, Deby… thanks for sharing!!

  6. Tammy says:

Hey I am trying your bbq ranch chicken in crockpot . I just noticed my hidden valley salad dressing mix is buttermilk recipe. Can I use this with the same result ?

  7. Kathleen says:

Hi – all of your recipes have them being cooked at a HIGH setting – I often times prep in the morning and then leave it to cook all day. What is the conversion from HIGH to LOW setting? How many hours on LOW?

    Thanks.

    1. D_Dub says:

I tried this recipe last weekend and cooked it on low for 6 hours. I just googled a conversion chart and took a chance. No mushy chicken. Yea! Very delicious. I never thought about draining the juice, thanks for that new info! 🙂 Since I have little guys at home, I cut the chicken into strips before slow cooking them. I’m ready to try another recipe ma’am. There so pocket friendly!

      1. Heidi says:

Aww ~ so glad you liked it! 🙂
