And after you make this blender salsa recipe for yourself, you’ll know exactly what I mean…

What Makes Restaurant Salsa Different?
Restaurant salsa is largely smooth in texture and full of fresh, vibrant flavors.
To create one of the best restaurant Copycat Recipes for salsa at home, you’ll want to use a blender or food processor to duplicate that smooth consistency.
Then use fresh cilantro and onions to add the fresh flavors you’re craving.

You forgot to add the Lime Juice. Add 2 Tbsp of lime juice. Also use Jalepenos either fresh or from the can sliced very small depending upon how how you like it. Experiment with a Tbsp at a time. Use the canned Petite tomatoes instead.
That sounds like a delicious addition!
I’m Canadian…and have no idea what Ro-Tel is for making the
salsa. Can someone please give me some idea as to what this is.
Thanks
Sandy
Hi Sandy,
Ro-Tel is a brand of Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies added. If you can’t find Ro-Tel, you can just use a 10 oz. can of Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies. Hope that helps! 😉

Hi! I make a similar recipe, except I like mine a little chunky. So I put everything in a pot and simmer it on the stove for a while. It gives it a really good flavor and softens up the onions. Then I just let it cool, put it in jars, and put in the fridge.
P.s. I love your site Heidi!
Ooh ~ that sounds yummy, Chrissy! 😉

Aww… you’re so sweet! Thank you for the kind words, and I’m so glad you’re enjoying the easy recipes!
I’m wondering if this recipe can be canned. How would I go about doing that? Would the ingredients need to be boiled before going into the jars for sterilization? Or would the hot water bath do that? Please help! I love this recipe and would like to make it in bulk and can, but I’m a beginner-canner and am not sure. Thanks!
Hi Katie ~ This recipe wasn’t designed to be a canning recipe, as it doesn’t have the increased acid (like lemon juice, etc.) However, it freezes beautifully, and you can store it in the freezer in a freezer-safe container, leaving a little room for expansion, for up to 3 months.
Love your site! Today I have made the Freezer Jam and the Salsa!
I am wondering…can you freezer the Salsa as you would the Jam?
Hi Gwen ~ I’m so glad you’re enjoying the easy recipes! This salsa freezes beautifully, and you can store it in the freezer in a freezer-safe container, leaving a little room for expansion, for up to 3 months.

OR Ro-Tel diced tomatoes with green chilies. I add chopped garlic ( I used 2 cloves). The Ro-Tel are the 10 oz size and the chili ready is a 14.5 oz can.
