It takes just four marvelous ingredients to create this simple taco dip recipe.
- Hormel Chilli – To ensure a rich creamy texture, you’ll want to use the no bean variety.
- Velveeta Cheese – Loads up your dip with so much cheesy goodness!
- Taco Seasoning – You can use either a 1 oz. packet from the store or my tasty homemade Taco Seasoning Recipe.
- Milk – This helps to thin your sauce to create just the right consistency.
- *optional Green Onions for garish
You’ll also need a 10″ Cast Iron Skillet to get your copycat chili’s skillet queso hot and ready!

1. Start by preheating your skillet.
2. Then, add your chili, cheese and taco seasoning to the skillet.

Taco Dip

Ingredients
- 16 oz. Velveeta Cheese, cubed
- 15 oz. Hormel No Beans Chili
- 1 oz. Taco Seasoning, (1 packet) or use 3tbsp. of my Taco Seasoning Recipe
- 1/4 cup Whole Milk, for thinning, or more if desired
- Optional: Green Onions, sliced, for garnish
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients.

- Preheat 10 inch Cast Iron Skillet over Low.
- Once heated, pour Chili into skillet, sprinkle with Taco Seasoning, and top with cubed Velveeta Cheese.
- Stir continually with wooden spoon or spatula, until well combined and cheese has completely melted (approx. 10 minutes).
- Now stir in 1/4 cup Milk until well combined. If you'd like a thinner mixture, add additional Milk 1 tbsp. at a time to thin it down until you reach your desired consistency.
