Brown Gravy Recipe

Ingredients 

  • 3 tablespoons Salted Butter
  • 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 3/4 cups Beef Broth , (or one 14.5 oz can)
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Beef Bouillon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions 

  • Melt butter in a 10 – 12″ skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Then add flour to skillet, stirring constantly until combined with the butter. Immediately after that, begin to whisk in beef broth 1/4 cup at a time, whisking continually.
  • After all beef broth has been added, continue whisking as you add in the Milk, Beef Bouillon, Onion Powder, and Black Pepper.
  • Whisk for a few more minutes as the gravy thickens, then serve and ENJOY!

    What an easy recipe! I feel like every Thanksgiving, I end up saying, “Oh sho&t, I forgot the gravy” and then I scramble looking for an easy gravy recipe. This is the winner! We typically fry our turkey, so we don’t have any pan drippings around…another reason this recipe is food for us!
