Now these aren’t your typical dense cake mix donuts, but are more of a light and fluffy powdered sugar donut. And yes… they’re melt-in-your-mouth delicious, too. Seriously, what’s not to love about light and fluffy donuts covered in powdered sugar for dessert or brunch!!

What Are The Ingredients In Powdered Donuts?
I’ve kept the ingredients for these tasty powdered donuts as easy and simple for you as possible:
- Betty Crocker French Vanilla Cake Mix
- Eggs
- Milk
- Butter
- Powdered Sugar
How Do You Keep Powdered Sugar From Melting On Donuts?
So what is the white powder on donuts and how do you keep it from melting or disappearing?
It’s powdered sugar and the trick for making sure the powdered sugar doesn’t melt is to:
- Bake these powdered sugar donuts, instead of frying them.
- Then, once you have removed the donuts from the oven, wait 5 minutes to make sure the donuts have cooled.
- Once the donuts have cooled, roll the donuts in fresh powdered sugar.

Cake Mix Donuts Recipe
Ingredients
- 13.25 ounces Betty Crocker Vanilla Cake Mix
- 2 large Eggs
- 2 tbsp. Butter melted
- 2/3 cup Milk
- 1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, butter, and milk, and mix with mixer until well combined.
- Spray donut pan with non-stick cooking spray, and spoon mixture into pan filling each spot no more than halfway full.
- Bake for 11 - 13 minutes, or until done.
- Remove donuts from pan, and roll in powdered sugar. Wait 5 minutes, then re-roll each donut in powdered sugar one more time. ENJOY!
