Plus, you won’t believe how easy it is to make! With just a few simple ingredients, this tasty tartar sauce recipe with dill elevates any seafood dish you’ve got on the menu this week!

Now growing up in Seattle, I ate a LOT of seafood, and tartar sauce was always my favorite dip. I even remember going to the dentist when I was 7 years old, and the dentist saying: “Uh-oh… it looks like you have a little tartar.” I instantly burst into tears, and between sniffles asked him if it was maybe because I’d eaten too much tartar sauce? He laughed, I was confused, and things got a little awkward for a few minutes there. 🙂

Anyhoo… thanks to all of the amazing seafood restaurants on every corner, I was spoiled with some pretty amazing tartar sauce. Once I moved to Arizona, I thought I could just grab some from the grocery store and it would taste just the same. Um… nope. Not the same at all. That’s what led me on the quest to recreate an epic, old fashioned, restaurant-style tartar sauce! And I know you’re going to LOVE it just as much as I do! Who makes the best tartar sauce? Well… it’s about to be YOU!

You’ll just need a few easy ingredients to get this Easy Seafood Dinner Recipe started…

I’m so excited to try this recipe, Heidi, thank you for sharing it. I’m in Florida and I always thought tartar sauce was the same too until I started traveling across the country and realized – much like sweet tea – tartar sauce tastes drastically different depending on what part of the US you live in Thanks for upping our fish and chips game, CoCo

Haha… it was SO traumatic, Tasia! 🙂 I had been filling up on waaaay too much tartar sauce from Ivar’s, so I was pretty sure there was a correlation there.
