Hi! How do you store this cake after you make it,…does it need to be refrigerated?
Thank you for sharing this recipe!
Heidi says
Hi Kathleen ~ yes, you’ll want to refrigerate any leftovers. ENJOY! 🙂
Keli says
Is this dump cake best served warm or cold?
Heidi says
Hi Keli ~ it’s honestly up to you. My family enjoys it both ways. 🙂
Michelle says
Hi! Dumb question haha….is this cake sliceable or is it meant to be scooped like a cobbler? I never made a dump cake before. Pictures look more like scooped but want to be sure before I make it. Thanks in advance!
Heidi says
Hi Michelle,
It’s definitely meant to be scooped like a cobbler, not sliced.
Hope that helps ~ Heidi
Debbie says
I used to find the key lime creme at Walmart but they haven’t had it in stock for a while now so I contacted the company to see where I could find it and was told it has been discontinued. So I’m going to try this using the lemon Creme pie filling instead.
valerie perry says
Can you make this like a traditional dump cake and just spread the dry cake mix on top of the filling and then top with pats of the solid butter?
Heidi says
Hi Valerie… yes – that would work too, however I prefer mixing in the melted butter with the cake mix to make a thicker more buttery crumble with each bite. 🙂
Raynette says
Trying this today BUT I crushed up some pretzels and mixed them in with the cake mix crumble.
We’ll see what we think.
Raynette says
It was approved by my husband after he tried it.
