Spinach Dip Ingredients
To start with, take a look in your kitchen. You likely already have most of these ingredients on hand.
Here’s what you’ll need to create your new favorite Crockpot Dip Recipe…
- Frozen Chopped Spinach
- Bacon – use this trick for perfect Crispy Bacon
- Pepper Jack Cheese – to keep things zest, with a little kick!
- Parmesan Cheese – you’ll want shredded parmesan, not grated.
- Cream Cheese – choose high quality, like Philadelphia rather than store brand, as it will melt better.
- Sour Cream – adds tangy flavor, and is half of the creamy sauce base.
- Mayonnaise – the other half of the creamy sauce base. For best flavor, opt for name brand, high quality, full-fat original varieties, as opposed to ‘light’ or store brands.
- Garlic Powder – to add more savory flavor.
- Salt – to bring out the flavors.
- Pepper – to add just a subtle, warm kick.
You’ll also need a 4 – 6 quart Crock Pot to get this spinach dip hot and ready for your next party!

This dip is delicious, I just leave out the sour cream and add bacon for more flavor. Delicious!!!
I’m so glad you liked it!
Any reason why I could not make this in the oven? (crock pot bit the dust)!
Do you need to drain the spinach well (like usual) in this recipe? I don’t see that anywhere. I don’t want to mess it up when I make it:) Looks delicious! Thanks!
Hi Mary,
There is typically no need to drain the liquid, unless the spinach you are using has an unusually large amount of liquid. Then in that case, feel free to drain the excess liquid.
Hope this helps ~ Heidi
You can definitely make this in the oven!
Should the spinach be frozen or defrosted before cooking??
Hi Anna,
The spinach should be thawed before you start. Hope this helps ~ Heidi
