Candy Cane Fudge Ingredients

It takes just a simple ingredients to make the BEST Candy Cane Fudge!

Just add these ingredients to your next grocery order to make sure you have everything on hand…

  • White Chocolate Chips – the higher the quality, the more amazing the flavor!
  • Candy Canes – crushed
  • Condensed Milk
  • Optional: Peppermint Extract – if you want to add an even stronger peppermint flavor

That’s it.  You’ll need just 3 easy ingredients to create this euphorically divine fudge treat!

How Do You Crush Up Candy Canes?

Crushing candy canes is so much easier than you think!

When it comes to crushing up candy canes, my favorite trick is to unwrap the candy canes, place them in a freezer gallon ziploc bag, zip it up, and then roll over the bag with a rolling pin.

By rolling back and forth, those candy canes will crush up quickly… without the mess!

Easy-peasy!

How to Make Candy Cane Fudge

It’s actually SO simple to make your own peppermint fudge at home!

Here’s what you’ll do…

1. Start by crushing your candy canes, then set aside for later.

2. Line square baking dish with foil.

3. Microwave chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in large bowl, and stir until creamy.  Add optional Peppermint extract and give it a quick stir.

4. Quickly transfer mixture to foil-lined dish, and spread out evenly.

5. Sprinkle top of chocolate mixture with your crushed candy cane bits.

6. Chill for 2 – 4 hours in refrigerator, allowing fudge to set completely.

7. When ready to serve, cut into 1 inch squares and ENJOY!

Make Ahead Tips (How to Prep Ahead)

Planning a party and want to prep ahead?  You can easily make your chocolate fudge the day before a party!

Simply set your fudge, slice and transfer pieces to an airtight container stored in the refrigerator.

Easy Candy Cane Fudge Recipe

Creating a rich and smooth Christmas fudge has never been easier.  This decadent Candy Cane Fudge Recipe is beyond delicious, and will disappear as fast as you can make it!

Servings: 25 – 36 small squares, depending on size

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Nestle White Chocolate Chips (approx. 1.5 bags) (approx. 1.5 bags)
  • 1 cup Crushed Candy Canes
  • 14 oz. Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 tsp Peppermint Extract (optional)

Instructions

  • Line 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish with foil, then spray foil with non-stick cooking spray. (allow a little extra foil on the sides, so the fudge can easily be lifted out later)
  • In large microwave safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk.
  • Microwave for 1 minute, then stir.
  • Microwave for an additional 45 seconds, and stir until melted. (or microwave an additional 45 seconds if needed). Add optional Peppermint extract and give it a quick stir.
  • Once melted, quickly transfer to foil lined baking dish and spread out evenly. (the fudge likes to set fast, so no dilly-dallying on this part)
  • Sprinkle top of mixture in pan evenly with approx. 1 cup crushed Candy Canes.
  • Transfer to refrigerator, and chill for approx. 2 hours, or until set.
  • Cut into 1 inch squares, and ENJOY!

Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
