You only need 4 simple ingredients. Then you’ll just stir, freeze, and blend.
It truly doesn’t get any easier!

Ingredients
You’ll actually use the same simple ingredients from my Chick Fil A Sweet Tea copycat to make this frozen sweet tea slushie.
And you’ll also need a pitcher with a lid, an ice cube tray… and a sturdy blender, too!
- Black Tea Bags – Regular size tea bags.
- Sugar – If making an unsweetened iced tea slushie, skip the sugar.
- Baking Soda – The SECRET ingredient for adding magical smoothness to your sweet tea slush!
- Water

It’s actually just as easy to blend up this frozen sweet tea slushie as all of my other Slushie Drinks!
1. You’ll start by preparing the perfect sweet tea base.
2. Then freeze a portion of the tea using ice cube trays.

3. Once the tea has completely frozen, add the specified portions of frozen and chilled sweet tea to the blender and blend as specified.
4. You can then customize your frozen iced tea slushie by adding extra ice cubes as desired.

Iced Tea Slushie

Doubling Recipe Tip
If doubling or tripling recipe with buttons below, ingredient notes found after comma will not adjust. Increase ingredients as needed.
Ingredients
- 6 tea bags Black Tea, standard 8 oz. size bags
- 1 cup Sugar, skip if making a non sweetened slush
- 1/8 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 cups HOT Water
- 6 cups COLD Water
- 2 Large Ice Cubes, OPTIONAL
Instructions
- Gather your iced tea slushie ingredients.

- Add 2 cups HOT water to a 2 quart pitcher.
- Steep 6 tea bags in the pitcher for approximately 15 minutes.
- Remove and discard tea bags after 15 minutes.
- Add Sugar and Baking Soda to your Tea, and stir until completely dissolved.
- Add 6 cups COLD water, and stir again.

- Pour 1.5 cups Sweet Tea into an ice cube tray, and place in the freezer for a minimum of 4 hours. (must be completely frozen) I usually freeze overnight.

- Place remainder of tea in refrigerator to chill.
- When you’re ready to make your slush, pour 1.5 cups of chilled Sweet Tea into your blender, then add frozen Sweet Tea Cubes to blender.
- Blend until well combined, adding additional optional ice cubes if desired, then transfer to a mason jar. Serve with a spoon or straw and ENJOY!
