You’ll just need 4 simple ingredients to blend up the best copycat Starbucks mocha frappe!

First check your fridge, cupboards or pantry, then add the following to your next grocery list to make sure you’ve got everything on hand…

  • Ground Coffee blend of your choice – I like to use Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts.
  • Chocolate Syrup – Try this Better Than Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup Recipe for Coffee
  • Half and Half – To add that thick and creamy frappe texture.
  • Sugar – Just your traditional white, granulated sugar.

You’ll also need a way to brew coffee, an ice cube tray and a sturdy blender to make this mocha frappe!

How to Make a Blended Mocha

Like all of my Frozen Coffee Recipes, it’s unbelievably simple to make this mocha frappe recipe!

Trust me, this is how to make a frozen mocha the EASY way…

1. Brew some coffee and chill it in your refrigerator.

2. After your coffee has chilled, pour the specified amount of chilled coffee into an ice cube tray, and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.

3. Once your coffee cubes have frozen, add your ingredients to the blender and blend well.

4. Transfer your frozen mocha coffee to a glass or mason jar mug, and you’re done!

Doubling Recipe Tip

If doubling or tripling recipe with buttons below, ingredient notes found after comma will not adjust. Increase ingredients as needed.

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups Brewed Coffee, your favorite blend, brewed and chilled.
  • 4 tbsp. Chocolate Syrup, or my Chocolate Syrup Recipe for Coffee
  • 1/4 cup Half and Half
  • 4 tsp. Sugar
  • Whipped Cream, (OPTIONAL)
  • Chocolate Sprinkles, (OPTIONAL)

Instructions 

  • Gather your mocha frappe ingredients.
    Mocha Frappe ingredients including coffee, chocolate syrup, and half and half.
  • Pour 1 1/2 cups Chilled Coffee into an ice cub tray, and freeze for 4+ hours. (These must be completely frozen, so I usually freeze overnight.)

  • Leave remaining 1/2 cup Coffee in the refrigerator.
  • Once coffee cubes have frozen, add 1/2 of cubes to blender. Also add 1/2 cup chilled Coffee, Half and Half, Sugar, and Chocolate Syrup, and blend well.
  • Then add remaining Frozen Coffee Cubes to blender, and blend well again.
  • Transfer to a glass or mason jar. If you're feeling fancy, you can even drizzle a little chocolate syrup on the inside of your glass!

  • Top with whipped cream and sprinkles, and ENJOY!

    It’s crazy how expensive mocha frappes are if you go out to order them! I’m definitely all about saving money and making these at home instead. Freezing the ice cubes of coffee is such a great idea to keep from watering down the drink. I’m thinking this would make for a great mid-morning treat on a hot summer day!
