PREP AHEAD PANTRY TIP: If stocking your pantry with cornbread mix, simply whisk together Flour, Cornmeal, Sugar, Baking Powder, and Salt and transfer to a 32 oz. mason jar so your mix is ready to go for later.
GIFT IN A JAR TIP: If giving the cornbread mix as a gift, whisk together Flour, Cornmeal, Sugar, Baking Powder, and Salt and transfer to a 32 oz. mason jar. Include a tag with the following baking instructions: Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Transfer contents of jar into large mixing bowl, and add in 2 lightly beaten Eggs, 1/2 cup Milk, and 8 tbsp. melted Butter. Stir until well combined. On stove top over medium heat, melt 1 tbsp. Butter in 12″ Cast Iron Skillet. Once butter has melted, pour batter into skillet, spread out evenly, and transfer to middle rack of oven. Bake 18 – 20 minutes, or until done.
