Once you know how to deep clean makeup brushes, you’ll never put it off again. It’s so EASY!

With a little warm Water, White Vinegar, and Dawn Dish Soap you can give those brushes a deep clean in about 15 minutes!

But why bother?

Well… dirty brushes can really do a doozy on your skin!

From bacteria to dirt and grime, they can get pretty dirty pretty quickly.

Regularly removing the dirt and oils trapped in your brushes can help minimize those pesky breakouts, too!

Clean brushes + less breakouts? Yes, please!

What Should You Clean Makeup Brushes With?

Cleaning makeup brushes is so simple! Here’s what you’ll need to give them a good deep cleaning…

  • Warm Water
  • Vinegar
  • Blue Dawn Dish Soap

How Often Should You Wash Your Makeup Brushes?

To keep makeup brushes clean, try to make it a habit to wash them weekly.

Just set aside one day of the week to drop them in this simple solution for 15 minutes or so, allow to dry overnight, and they should be good to go by the next morning!

It really is THAT easy!

How to Clean Makeup Brushes with Dawn and Vinegar

Pour 1/2 cup warm water into a small mason jar or glass.

Then add 1 tbsp. White Distilled Vinegar and 2 tsp. Dawn Dish Soap to the water and stir well.

Now simply drop your dirty brushes into the cleaning solution, and allow to soak for 15 minutes.

After they’ve finished soaking, one by one, pull a brush out, run it under warm water to rinse… using your fingers to gently clean the bristles.

Then tap excess water off and gently squeeze between a towel to dry.

Lay each brush out on a towel to air dry completely overnight.

Then the next morning they’ll be squeaky clean and ready to use again!
