Pin ItHow to Cut a Pineapple into Chunks
So first things first… we’ll want to cut your fresh pineapple into chunks.
As mentioned above, you can substitute frozen pineapple chunks, but you’ve got to trust me when I tell you… a fresh ripe pineapple will send these pineapple milkshakes out of the stratosphere! The sweetness just can’t be rivaled!
Here’s what you’ll do…
1. Pull out a cutting board and sharp knife.

2. Twist off the top of your pineapple, and discard. Just hold the base with one hand, and twist the green crown with the other hand.
3. Now place your pineapple on a cutting board, and cut about 1/2 inch off the top and the bottom, and discard.
4. Stand up your pineapple, and then cut off the outer layer all the way around.
5. Once you’ve removed the outer layer, cut right down the middle of the core of the pineapple, so now you’ve got two large pieces. Then cut each of those in half, right down the core. You will have four large pieces at this point.
6. Cut each of those pieces in half, right down the core again, so now you’ll have 8 pieces.
7. Each piece will now have a sharp triangle edge (the core). Simply cut the core off of each piece and discard.
8. Then cut each piece into chunks, about 1″ – 1.5″ wide. That’s it! Now you’re ready to blend up your pineapple milkshake!
