  1. Carol Harrington says:

I would love to try some of these wonderful sounding recipes but I WANT the colorful crockpot so I can take it to friend’s homes. Where do I get this? This is my second time to ask and I am anxious.
    Carol Harringon

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Carol ~ I found the crock pot at Target. Isn’t it SO cute?? 🙂

  2. sarah says:

Will the bacon cook better or get more crunchy if you cook it in the oven for a little bit first?

  3. Amanda says:

Do I need to use dark or light brown sugar?

    1. Robyn Davis says:

As I mentioned, I’ve made these several times and it doesn’t matter the color of brown sugar. It turns out crazy delicious either way. 🙂

  4. Jmiller says:

Can I cut th bacon in half instead of thirds to have more bacon? Will it cook??

    1. Robyn Davis says:

I’ve made these several times and you can use half cut bacon but the third cut wraps perfectly around the sausage and makes them bite size.

  5. Tammy says:

Have you ever added coca cola to this recipe? My mother-in-law remembers adding a can of coke.

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Tammy ~ I haven’t tried Coke with this recipe, but used it on this Kielbasa and it was AMAZING!

You can find that recipe here: https://thefrugalgirls.com/?p=164672

  6. Vige says:

Do I need to add any water?

    1. Heidi says:

No water is necessary ~ the bacon and smokies will cook in the juices released. Hope that helps! 😉

      1. Kelly says:

Do you leave the cover off while cooking or on?

  7. fyddo says:

that wrapped bacon was amazing, i just finished it today and let me tell ya that was amazing in every way possible thank you for sharing and highly recommended, go bacon !!!! 🙂

  8. Iris says:

Can these be cooked on low in a 2 qt crock pot for a longer period of time?

  9. Donna Keech says:

At some point do you drain all that grease? I’ve made these in the oven before

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Donna ~ you can serve directly from the Crockpot, or you can drain and transfer the smokies to a plate for serving without the juices. Hope that helps! 😉

  10. Teri says:

Can I double or triple this recipe??

    1. Heidi says:

Hi Teri ~ yes… you can definitely make the recipe larger, however they cook best if each smokie is touching the bottom of the crockpot while cooking in one layer, so it will just depend on the size of your slow cooker. Hope that helps!

      1. Robyn Davis says:

I’ve tripled this and had the smokies almost fill the crockpot. They do taste better when they touch the bottom but they are still crazy delicious if they don’t.
